Thanks for the walk through. I own an RV repair business and have worked on just about everything out there. We looked at Alliance, Jayco, Brinkley, and Grand Design for our next camper to replace the Open Range bunkhouse we bought back in 2013. Montana wasn't even on the radar. We just couldn't find the right floorplan. My wife wanted a large living area. We both wanted a king-sized bed. And I wanted an outside kitchen. Surprisingly, we bought the 2023 311RD from Camping World and the only appreciable updates are the front door and the relocation of the central vacuum to leave some shoe storage under the stairs. I will also replace the old Coleman-Mach LCD thermostats with the newer style that are available on the 2024 model. They are really a good upgrade. Full-timers will appreciate the standard heat pump on the main living area HVAC unit. The 16 gallon water heater running on electric will spare you the gas to use with the Suburban furnace in the winter. The Coleman Mach unit will automatically kick on the furnace to supplement the heat pump if the set point and actual temp exceed a certain delta. I'd like to leave some thoughts for your viewers about this camper. We are an empty nester couple and I am full-timing in this model away from home during the week. I find it's just the right size at 35' for a couple. You'll need to be creative about how you maximize the storage in the kitchen and pantry. I *do* love the outside "kitchen" (mainly the refrigerator which is good for keeping some beverages close by) but it does eat up valuable pantry space. This camper is surprisingly easy to work on. I've already replaced the small 12V fan in the bathroom with a Maxx-Air unit. I've installed a permanently-mounted surge protector behind the electrical panel. I've upgraded the standard dual 30# LP tanks with 40# Flame King cylinders and use the 30# as backup. I've had a couple of small issues: 1) reinforcing bad crown staples in the pantry shelving with wood screws and 2) tightening a loose plumbing connection in the black tank flush line. I don't consider these anything out of the ordinary in this industry. For those out there considering a camper with similar features, you can save thousands in up-front costs with this unit.
