Wasn’t quick but getting 5000 lbs up and moving with a high revving V12 that makes no torque down low makes it look even slower.

Yep its what most people don't get... yeah it revs to 8 or 9k, but unless youre dumping the clutch or launch control up in the 3500rpm range going off idle is the slowest way. Especially when peak HP is at or near redline and the torque curve is no one home below 4000. FF weighs about 4200, about the same weight as my truck, but the power curve is WAY different @@longtailrally780

Dead on arrival. This vs that pulls views, but this isn't Hoonigan anymore. Also, why is the Ferrari waiting at the line and not using launch control? Tf the EV6 has a 0-60 of 3.2, runs 11.4-11.5 in the 1/4, the FF 0-60 is 3.4 and it runs low 11s. Not sure what's happening here. The kia was freight training it even up top, which it shouldn't do even per it's own testing. I feel like I'm watching a KIA commercial. I feel like they were sandbagging again.

A thousand feet is less than a quarter mile. And you're using manufacturer specs, which are often wrong and on different surfaces. The EV beating the Ferrarri to 1k feet makes perfect sense even with the numbers you posted, which are far from guaranteed to be accurate.

Remember that EV’s are wheel hp. 12 year old Ferrari with AWD probably loses 20%. That puts it at 560whp to the Kia’s 560whp. And Kia is EV full power all the time. Ferrari has 200whp at 4K rpm’s. 300whp at 5k. There’s no way it’s not getting walked out of the hole. I wasn’t super fast but the lethargy of that car trying to get up and move is kinda painful to watch. Especially without launch contol working.

@@Grimm-Gaming my E60 5 series has 310k miles on it, but on every video about germans and european cars Americans are the first to pipe up about how unreliable they are, so one persons good luck doesnt count for a whole lot :). FWIW Im in scotland, am a mechanic, had to drop a kia down to the dealer for ECU replacement and they had lots, perhaps about 10 wide and 2 deep worth of cars with the a/c pump dangling i.e. no engine all in warranty age. I have never seen the likes at any other dealership. I also, at the time of writing have more kia/hyundai on the books for major engine repair than any other brand. Usually BMW top my scoreboard followed closely by PSA and jaguar/landrover but kia-hyundai seem to be really stepping up their game :)

You could clearly hear the Ferrari short shift bad on the last race. Plus it seemed like the driveline has a bad lag to it when launching. He seemed to do everything right but it just didn’t leave for a spilt second. I know some of those DCT type transmissions do have a bit of lag when trying to launch.

And high revving V12’s have absolutely no bottom end torque. Which doesn’t matter at all when you’re using this car for what it was designed for, not airstrip drag racing. 😂 it does have an aftermarket tune that came with the car that I know little about. How that affects things I have no idea.

Ferrari probably had a setting to prevent early shifting. Paddles shift usually has a safety to still shift at "safe" rpms. Would explain the "early" shift to 3rd
