2024 Kia Sportage EX Hybrid

I lucked out. Dropped by my local Kia dealer just to check it out after visiting Toyota and Honda. Didn't even consider a Kia, but definitely wanted a Hybrid. They had one of these on the lot and I took it out for a test drive. Great price, great warranty (better than Toyota and Honda). I told the dealer I needed to do some research that night as I didn't know Kia or the Sportage. Googled it and wow! Great reviews all around. Went back the next morning and snapped it up and will pick it up in 2 days.

Did you end up picking it up? Not a fan of turbocharged engine. Would feel better if it was the 2.5l natural aspirated

Thank you for this fantastic overview of this vehicle. I just bought the exact vehicle that you are showing a couple days ago, even the same color. I am thrilled with it so far. I did so much research and for the money I could not find something that compared. I really looked at the Honda CRV for quite a bit but to get a vehicle even somewhat at the same level was another $5000. I really appreciate how in-depth you went through every single part of the car. Even though I’ve watched so many different videos, I still learned several new things about the settings and the options of this vehicle. I really appreciate it!

This is "flat out" likely the best vehicle in its class..include the "sister" Hyundai Tucson. Excellent styling, nice materials, good overall construction, smooth and quiet powertrain. I would move to base model, no all wheel drive and forego the hybrid feature to save on initial price. The 2.5L with 8 spd. auto works fine but is a bit "throaty" on acceleration. Easy entry, lots of room, does everything well. Should be long lasting with proper maint. service. Low mounted headlamps provide better coverage and way less oncoming glare. H-K Group is now third in world vehicle production..this is proof they are not sitting on their hands. Very good review..like how you emphasize the economics involved with the potential purchase..this is a high value vehicle!

We just bought an LX, love it. Sure wish it had a push button start, our last few vehicles have had that feature and it's hard to go back to having to mess with a key. I really don't like the big display on that model, I like the smaller display in the LX. I just don't like all the touchscreen stuff, I like knobs. Would be nice to have the cushion dorm rest on the doors, on the LX there's no cushion at all, just very hard plastic!

I had, and still have, my doubts about Kia reliability and durability. But I bought one of these, almost 2 years ago now, and I'm very happy with it. Comfy, roomy, good tech, looks pretty cool inside (I'd love one of the alternate interior color schemes, though, rather than the black). Totally satisfied with the performance, fuel economy, ride and driving manners so far. Everybody who has ridden in it thinks it's pretty nice. For the money it seems like a great car. Mine's the same color as this one, by the way. But the Canadian EX model got the heated steering wheel and windshield, and fog lights, but 17" wheels.

I was all set to the buy the hybrid Sportage EX last week, however after careful studying of the monroney label I discovered the EX does not come with a power liftgate or adaptive cruise control. (except as an option) When I checked the sticker on the base Hyundai Tucson Blue trim guess what it comes with both of these added features for the same price. I am now the happy owner of the 2025 hybrid Tucson Blue and it is amazing. I advise everyone considering to drive both, compare stickers and make their own choice. KIA is Hyundais cheaper cousin and they dont even pad the armrests on the sportage unlike the base Tucson.
