You forgot to mention : the tougher, forged Billet bracket that holds the headlight cluster etc. The original bracket is a known weak point with aftermarket companies offering additional support brackets to aid the standard OEM bracket

Excellent video and review! I am curious about the long distance hwy regular road feel and comfort as well. Are you blown around on the freeway? What about the power and speed on the hwy? And the weight while off road, does the bike feel easy to handle etc? The explanation about the suspension was great! Thanks
@MaxBetMotors8 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching!! So comfortable, I would easily tour with this bike and have that size small Puig Windscreen…. The bike is super light and balanced but very planted and don’t get blown around much!! The 105 hp is waaaaaay more than you need and it can easily conquer the pavement … the light weight and balance of the bike is mind blowing … you are ON the bike not IN it and feels fantastic, if you are in the market for a middleweight bike I just can’t think of a better option!!

I noticed you replaced the rear side panels, and added a rack system of some sort. Curious about the brand and how it’s worked out? Also, is the suspension as good as you thought it would be?
@MaxBetMotors8 ай бұрын
Hi John, thanks for the watch!! Yes I have, I’ll drop the modifications video maybe next week and go more in depth on those but the system is working AMAZING!! The rear has the large rack from Perun Moto and the side Luggage Racks you can get from them or NiceCNC. I use simple lashing straps from Amazon, a Kriega US-5 on one side and now have a Mosko 5L Aux Pox on the other side!! All are waterproof and work so good!! The side ones you can save some $$$ and get from eBay or NiceCNC, the rear I would pony up and order Perun’s which I got from KTM Twins. Hope that helps!!

Great info thanks for showing the difference in pricing and where it’s sitting so it’s actually got almost 10 grand worth of extras compared to the other bike so it is worth paying 7000 more big question for you. Is it painted orange on the top of the tank or is it a plastic cover that pops in? I can’t tell.
@MaxBetMotors9 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for watching and for the comment! You are right, I feel like that is the general consensus that if those extras are valuable to you, then you are coming out so far ahead! I wanted to put all those things on a stock 890 so it was super valuable for me! You are like a detective, very intuitive! It is an all black gas tank with an orange wrap on the top half!

Hey dude!! I LOVED my 390, road it 2,000 miles in 5 days from Washington to Colorado … such a great bike!! Just needed more ground clarence My overall thought is I’d REALLY push you toward an 890, cheaper in the long run and so much more capable and loaded with features!! The weight is negligible and the engine is less buzzy and just overall SO much better!! I looked heavily into a 690 and I was gonna be $18k easily so for the money the 890 was the hot ticket!! Keep me posted on where you end up!!
@poppy231X8 ай бұрын
I’m enjoying these videos of the newer 890 bikes, this model, a lot. Coming from a 2017 690, which is a big bike for me @5’7”, easier to ride once a Rekluse clutch was installed. The price here now, is almost 3x of what I paid for my 690, with 325 miles on it. I can see a better bike, but it should be for that money, yet the 690 is still a beast for me. I’d like the 890S for road work only.
@MaxBetMotors8 ай бұрын
@@poppy231X so cool!! I LOVE my Rekluse on my 500 EXC-F, it's a game changer!! Agreed, for a lot more pavement a 890 would def be more comfortable. The 690 is a beast, enjoy!!
