I was dead set on choosing the Bronco when I learned about the Land Cruiser. I still preferred the Bronco and took it for a test drive. The drivetrain is better than the LC but it is really, really loud on the freeway. It scared me away from getting one. I test drove the LC and recently bought the First Edition (at little bit below the MSRP). I chose it because I prefer the looks and want to travel cross country, as well as it being a daily driver. 90% of the time I will be on roads but I live in the Mojave and want to be able to go off road as well.

As the Bonco's advocate. . . The stock tires on the Sasquatch are pretty noisy. If you turn on your front lockers while using the trail turn assist, you will really be surprised by how it works to pull you around a tight corner. (did I mention is has a front locker?) It's under a grand for a full set of steel skids for the Bronco via aftermarket. It does suck that if you want ACC and the front camera, you have to opt for the high/lux package. The Ford Everest is technically a Ford Ranger without a truck bed, and an enclosed cabin. It shares more equipment (dashboard, & interior included) with the Ranger than a Ford Bronco does with it. Mitsubishi, and Isuzu also do something similar with their pick-ups as well. The Mitsubishi Pajero is based on their Triton pick-up, and the Isuzu MU-X SUV is based n their D-Max pick-up. Where I live in Malaysia, these 3 SUVs are only offered with Diesel engines. I am guessing that the main reason that Ford doesn't sell the Everest in the USA is that size wise, it would compete directly with the Ford Exploder... I mean Explorer, and take away sales from the Bronco itself. I can see Mr or Mz Jo Average wanting a more civilized SUV than the somewhat rugged and rough Bronco. However, the American market would not really tolerate a body-on-frame, truck based SUV as Americans seem to prefer unibody SUVs. IF there is a market for the Everest, it would be a somewhat niche market. Unless they also do a Lincoln Luxury model of the Everest. Just my opinion, though. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4DYl2icbtWEbsUsi=zWqmdTgbhIvQlbAZ

No J250 anywhere comes with front lockers. It’s not a US thing. The LC300 GR has front lockers. Also, are you sure MTS is a replacement for A-Trac? The Fortuner has A-Trac and the older J200 had MTS in some trims.

It is a more specifically-tuned ATRAC. That's per Toyota engineers.

I want a Bronco Everglades really bad. It’s perfect for where I go bass fishing in the swampy areas in South Florida. Comes ready off the shelf. But I’m just like you. I never plan on taking the roof off. I don’t want to deal with the noise on daily drives and long road trips. I wonder if some stiffer springs for the Bronco will fix the lower towing capacity? I tow 4 lbs occasionally. Tough decision. A Ready Bronco Everglades for $58k or a Land Cruiser premium for $64k and spend an extra $2,500 on a wheel and tire package. I wish GMC would dip into its parts bin and build us a fixed roof GMC Jimmy with 35s 😊

You not wanting a convertible is blasphemy. lol. I think it’s because you’re in the Northwest. I’m in Utah and I love fall canyon drives with the foliage changing colors. Also, night drives are amazing in convertibles. It’s a much different experience than a traditional car with a roof.

I'm from the northeast but recently took my Bronco out to Utah. You're totally right! I wish it was easy to take my hard top off ( I was solo) while I was out there. Our weather just isn't as good in the NE. I realistically can only have the top off for like, 5 months of the year. Still enjoy having the option though!

The spare on the Toyota is underneath wich i find scary considering we have crazy winters over here up north in Canada After a few years with sleet and slush The nuts get rusty and imposible to take out Changing a spare on the side of a highway at minus 20 would be a hassle indeed

That’s not at all how that works.. if you actually ever owned a Toyota or changed a tire you would know.

Toyotas rust as it is, so that's a good point.

I would not consider the Everest to be an "enclosed Bronco", as it's literally a Ranger SUV, The Land Cruiser is far superior, though.
@drivingsportsАй бұрын
Ranger is built on the same production line as the Bronco.

Both of these are hideously expensive. You might be better off buying a cheaper regular car and a dedicated off roader like a RZR

LC 250 doesn't have front locker anywhere in the world not only in US. Only 300 is triple locked, but I know you know it.
