I'd go with the Grenadier, hands down. It's everything the Defender should've been, except for the lack of a manual transmission, I love the design (inside and out), it's got plenty room for larger people, and it's the only one of the two I'd ever consider taking out into the rough stuff.

Both of these look insanely good in person. But my money without a doubt would go to the GX even though Im a massive BMW fan and the Ineos uses their legendary i6 and ZF 8 speed combo.

Oh how sneaky... the two cars most viewers guess you've considered for your next purchase. Given the relative obscurity I'm on the Ineos Grenadier bandwagon now... I bet thats what you bought.

IF I had $90k to spend, NO CHANCE I'm experimenting with it. Gotta go with the known entity. Grenadier looks cool but that's just too much$$ for something that drives like a tractor for the 99% of time that it will be on the Pavement

Its like comparing Apples to Oranges, these are two different SUVs designed for different purposes and markets. The Grenadire most likely competitor is a Hummer or Land Rover

The ineos close’s competitor is a 1990s defender 110 bc that’s what it is based on. No other 2024 vehicle is so dated inside.

Grenadier's lack of traditional gauge cluster behind steering wheel is a MASSIVE FAIL. Hard pass!

Grenadier is a way cooler looking vehicle. I Test drove both the Ineos Granadier Trialmaster, and the Lexus GX Luxury and Overtrail Plus. The Granadier strikes me much more as a singular purpose built vehicle than is the Lexus GX. The Granadier will come absent a number of features that many U.S consumers have come to expect, particularly in a vehicle in this price range ($80,000 -$90,000+). No power seats, which is a real head scratcher, as virtually every other vehicle sold in the USA comes with power seats, at least as an option, even those designed to be taken off-road. Power seats have proven very dependable and reliable, so including such in the Granadier should be a no-brainer. The steering on the Granadier does mot return to center and requires more corrections when on the highway, and because of the lack of sound deadening materials used in the construction of the Ineos, in-cabin noise levels become somewhat intrusive and bothersome at highway speeds, but are not an issue at lower speeds. The noise levels in the Lexus are appreciable lower at highway speeds, although I was unable to quantify such. The interior dash of the Granadier is a home run from an aesthetics and Cool factor stand-point. Both vehicles accelerate acceptably, with the Lexus engine having and feeling a bit more powerful engine, but the Granadier accelerates and handles adequately. Steering in the LX, while somewhat numb, is more routine, returning to center. The turning radius of the Lexus GX is much better than the very poor turning radius on the Ineos Granadier. The Interior of the Lexus GX is a big MISS for me, very blah, not at all premium appearing or feeling. The 2nd row seating in the Lexus is not very comfortable, with leg room cramped, and the seat bolster too short. The 3rd row of the GX is in reality useless for anyone larger than a young child. The GX-550 Overtrail models do not offer a 3rd row, only the Premium and Luxury models. The Ineos Granadier does not offer a 3rd row. The 2nd row seating in the Ineos has more leg room, but the seats do not recline and are a bit too perpendicular, too straight up. The rear of the Ineos is much better designed than the Lexus for heavy use or for transporting pets. The Lexus base stereo is just alright, the Ineos not even that. The upgraded Ineos Stereo is just ok, while the Mark Levinson Sound system in the Lexus is superb. Ride quality on road in the Lexus is a bit better, steering a little more competent, and turning in tight spaces significant better in the Lexus. A 3 k-turn in the Lexus will be a 5-6 K-turn in the Granadier. Body roll is about even. Fit and finish is quite good in both vehicles, but the Granadier feels like the much more solid, vehicle. Feels like it was a made to be taken off-road and on rugged terrain, on a safari,, while the Lexus feels like a suburban commuter, to be taken occasionally on gravel roads. Not that the Lexus could not manage to climb rocky and rugged terrain, but it just does not feel or look as stout as the Granadier by a long shot. My, as would be most potential consumers concern with the Ineos Granadier revolve around dependability, reliability, service ,and support, as there are very few Ineos dealerships in the USA and they lack a track record.

Think he misses the boat by commenting on all the things that would break on the Lexus and not the Grenadier. Lexus ranks #1 in quality in the world and has a dealer network and support that Ineos at this stage in the game cannot compete with. Think I'd rather trust Lexus/Toyota to stand behind their car in the long term than Ineos based on some of the issues we see on so many of the Grenadier websites. L/T have built 11M Land Cruisers and are the icon/legacy that the Grenadier only aspires to as a start up.

I hope the Grenider's resale value plumets so I can buy one. It has a B58 engine which is one of the most reliable in the market and a ZF8 speed which is reliable and in everything.

Great powetrain, great looks, crap interior, crap handling/driving dynamics. Mixed bag IMO… for $40k might be worth a shot though

Not fair. You used the Soccer Mom version of the Lexus instead of the Overland Plus. (Probably impossible to find in order to compare.) The Grenadier - looks great, but HATE the center screen gimmick; not going to ever buy from a first generation company. So Lexus wins.

Lmao. Toyota cruising on that rep but now that they're making everything in turbo, they're just as shit as everybody else. Problems with new Tundras are HUGE and not slowing down at all even with 3 years of sales and time to fix their first gen issues.

I would trust a solid axle vehicle over a wishbone for offroad/overlanding. Plus the very same engine was used by Toyota on one of his performance vehicles. I guess it should be reliable enough for you if it was reliable for them. I hate the center console so I will never buy one, but claiming it is bad because it has a German engine/gearbox is just being delusional. But I guess with that username being just even a bit impartial is too much to ask. Seems some cult followers feel threatened by the new kid on the block.

My guess is that the Ineos outlasts the Lexus, it’s like an old John Deere tractor, it might be 50 yrs old but everything still works!

They (Lexus) don’t built them like used to and they won’t breakdown like the Ineos components will. Please come back and review your headaches with your ineos in a few months.

I laughed when you said you bought the Grenadier because the Land Cruiser had issues. So you buy a mix and match SUV. I was going to make fun of you not learning from your Defender experience. But since you're only looking to keep this for only about 5 years or as long as your warranty lasts, it is a decent choice I guess. Seeing the two side by side, I get it. The Ineos is a lot more rugged, even when you look at the Overtrail. That being said, the Grenadier is definitely a KZbinr car, like the Cyberjunk. The Cyberjunk is straight trash, like all Teslas, so this truck isn't that level of meme quality, but US people will pay $90k for the unproven garage built Grenadier and cry about the price of the 300 series LC? Lol... Weird. The interior tech goodies are impressive ngl. I have to admit though, my 5th Gen 4Runner is looking better and better. The hybrid GX is gonna be epic BTW.

If I would be looking for a new truck which I plan to keep for at least 10 years, I wouldn't buy neither one of those. GX have a potential engine failure in the next 5 years, and Grenadir is a new horse in the barn, anything can happen to it.

Really , Lexus goons break. I have had 3 GX , 65 to 135000 miles, not one thing ever went wrong . Lexus is the most reliable car in the world , they are all built at one plant exclusively in japan , unlike Toyota, wont watch another one his videos
