@@chaseteter Any variant of it. I prefer the V8. I love a smooth Lexus V8. My teenager drives a '00 Lx 470 and I daily a '17 GX 460. Their smoothness has ruined many other V8 driving experiences for me.

Damn, big guy, you almost made me feel bad for you with that back seat. That sound at the end, the V8, whoa, that is badass. I remember the trip video, it was really cool too. Great vid here!

I love this car, but I'd always go for the pure gas-powered model. But honestly, I still remember hearing about Lexus testing a new 4-liter twin turbo which was supposed to go into a sportier version of this. Sad that it never happened and I don't think it ever will.
@CarsofGlasgow3 күн бұрын
I agree the v8 sounds great but in Europe the hybrid sells almost double the v8 due to CO2 and tax
@Roddy_Zeh3 күн бұрын
@CarsofGlasgow I'm surprised, legit thought the LC didn't sell much in Europe, or anywhere for that matter. I love the car, but it seems the majority of its potential customers tend to lean towards the Europeans. 😞

My 2 Series with the top up makes those rear seats look roomy. I just leave the wind deflector there, because it takes up too much room in the tiny trunk. p.s. thanks for being one of the few people who have reviewed the hybrid version!

Actually a briliiant idea, sporty luxury combined with actual good fuel economy

I like the LC, but I think this hybrid would make more sense as an RC sized coupe woth the 2.5 hybrid system used in the new Camry and others, the first rwd application of this setup

Man oh man, what a beautiful car. Love that they offer it with a hybrid; gonna guess those back seats are a young kids-only space, at best (though they'd have to be just of the age to not need a car seat, too). I will say, I usually get ~600 miles on a tank of gas in my '20 Sonata hybrid; ~50mpg is nice. Even if it's obviously not as luxurious or beautiful as the LC, it's still very comfortable, and I think it's good-looking, too.

Giving mega long range to to a sporty coup with a small trunk and impractical back seats seems like a perfectly reasonable idea.
@bwofficial17764 күн бұрын
354hp is plenty adequate for this car's intended purpose. It's a sporty-looking cruiser. Buyers can get the V8 if they want it. That range is incredible. That transmission sounds complicated but if anyone can get it right it's Toyota. I guess manufacturers put useless back seats in so they and buyers can pretend it's a practical coupe and not a sports car.

I’ve seen on the forum that transmission costs over £10k to replace

If i could pick id take this if it proved to be reliable in the long term(that transmission makes me nervous). In no way can i justify using like 17 litres of fuel in city driving just for a v8, the hybrid makes way more sense and its not a slouch either with 5 second 0 to 100

There is no reason to make a car that is so low volume a hybrid. It does nothing to overall CO2 emission.
@RoccoReviews4 күн бұрын
That's not the only reason to have a hybrid though. Most people don't buy even regular hybrid's for their carbon footprint they buy it for gas mileage. Keep in mind that this is an excellent GT car, and it's super quiet, so for those people who like quiet and comfortable cars and like to drive long distances reliably, this hybrid is perfect.
@bwofficial17764 күн бұрын
Some people want the look of a sports car with the easy driving of a hybrid. This is fine for its intended purpose.
