I have never been able to get used to the sound of the injectors chattering away. Growing up I was taught to train my ear to listen for ticks in the engine sound as a sign of internal engine damage. Then the injectors started sounding like the tick of internal engine damage. That's all I hear when these cars start these days, my instinct is to shut the engine off to limit the damage when I hear it and I have to remind myself that it's just the injectors

@@TeamLuxzGaming it’s fine in the standard version that’s in the 50-60k price range, but the black label trim shown in the video merely starts at 75k. At that point you’re competing with the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450, BMW X5, Audi Q8, Genesis GV80 3.5t, and even Lincoln’s own Aviator with its twin-turbo v6 from the Ford Explorer ST. The lack of smoothness for the 4 cylinder can be accepted in lower trim versions, but the at this price point everyone else uses the much smoother I-6 engines and more powerful (twin turbo) V-6’s.

I used to wonder why other makes didn't employ the combo lock concept that Ford has been using for almost 40 years now (maybe more?) Now I wonder what the point of the system is anymore, what with capacitive touch / proximity keys and what-not. I would think newer tech would obviate any need for a combo lock.

The design is really bitchin' inside and outside but that engine is horrible. So low on power and the noise it makes sounds like a cheap 1 liter 3 cylinder engine. This car deserves a smoother engine at around 300-340 hp range. I know this is more economical but the noise is embarassing at this price level. (I'm sure people will not mind losing a few mpg to achieve it). Awesome video. Played it on loop for hours. It made me fall asleep. I guess that engine is good for something after all. It reminds me of my childhood when my parents and I were going somewhere at night and I would fall asleep to the monatonous engine noise. That was in the early 80's under communism with an east german piece of crap car. No it wasn't a Trabant. It was a Wartburg. In yellow if you must know. 🙂
