Looks good. More importantly, Lincoln is continuing to develop its unique aesthetic while staying slightly upmarket.

Like the increase in size; let’s hope that translates into more interior room. Miss the V6 though. Not sure I can justify spending luxury vehicle $$ on a 4 cylinder engine!
@66skate Жыл бұрын
The lack of a V6 might be a sticking point with me also. I just traded an Aviator with 3.0 for an F-150 with 3.5 Ecoboost. Stepping down to an I-4 in a Lincoln just doesn't feel right. But that interior is a wow.

I suspect they may be diagonal measurements on the screens like done on a TV. I have a TV with the screen size listed as 65 inch. Measuring straight across including the bezel comes to 57 inches.

Looks great but what I find with Lincoln is it looks great in images and video but in person you can spot the cheap. Hopefully that isn't the case here.

Uhg what's the point of the screens especially the passenger screen if you can't stream anything on it?

I haven't seen full details yet, but likely with the vehicle parked you could.

Really appreciate Ford-China build the early version of interior to help 2024 Nautilus so beautiful like this.
@leeedens9497 Жыл бұрын
So, any Lincoln Nautilus buyer should like this new gen one, but did Lincoln (and Ford) miss out on a big opportunity, think if Lincoln had used a shortened version of the RWD-based Aviator platform instead of another FWD base AWD CUV, yes I know other car companies do it, but when you have a RWD unibody SUV you think Ford and Lincoln would want to get their money out of it, this or the new Lexus RX, 2-row Jeep GC, upcoming Mazda CX-70, BMW X5, Mercedes GLE or Cadillac XT5 (maybe Lyriq), Lincoln just stepped up its game, can we assume the Aviator and Navigator will be getting a similar screen layout for upcoming update models, it's way better than the Chinese 2023 Ford Explorer interior
@66skate Жыл бұрын
That shows they did a good job of designing the platform when it's so easily adaptable to suit many requirements.

He never actually said *THIS IS BUILT IN CHINA,* but it is. Now that it is built in China, instead of the USA with all the crazy UAW expensive labor, it MUST BE CHEAPER, RIGHT? No, it is $5,000 more than the previous model. HOW CAN THIS BE? LOL. How many bells and whistles do you want to pay for (more technology to fail) above the price of just a good vehicle?? No radio buttons you can actually FEEL, so you HAVE TO look at the screen to make sure you are touching in the right spot to hit the image of a button every time.
@66skate Жыл бұрын
Even if all things were equal, you'd be paying more. There's a ton more tech than before. What were you paying for groceries 2 years ago compared to now?

@@66skate - My point is how many decades have the car companies blamed the cost of vehicles on the worker's wages? Well, they don't have the same wages in China, yet the vehicle still costs even more. When wages are $3 an hour (that's why many companies have moved production of their goods to Vietnam where it is still 60 cents) how is it they are still charging such a price?
@ThatsPety Жыл бұрын
It is "more expensive" than last year's, because a lot of paid add-on equipment is now standard
@1001Hobbies Жыл бұрын
@@ThatsPety - But for decades we have always been told the reason for financial instability at the US auto makers is because of the wage of the UAW workers. But did you ever notice, with ALL the news coverage on this, that they NEVER stated what percentage of the cost to build a car is labor? That's because it is only 6 - 7%. Of the entire cost to build a car or truck, only 6 - 7% of it is in the labor it takes to build it. Yet, the companies always seem to want to get 100% of cost savings to "save the company" from this mere 6 - 7%. Why? Because all that has to happen is for someone to say "ok." Nobody has to figure out how to do anything with less of a budget or less equipment. Just somebody saying "okay." THAT'S why there is no cost savings. UAW worker getting paid $29 an hour (not counting benefits) versus Chinese worker getting paid $3 an hour. Multiply that difference by 1,600 workers, working at least 40 hours a week. Still think it should be priced $5,000 more, even with additional electronics that are going to fail at some point?
@ThatsPety Жыл бұрын

Door Handles Goofy AF
@66skate Жыл бұрын
Those actually are pretty nice once used to them. I had them on the 21 Aviator I just traded and the Continental had them also. When you pull on the handle, it doesn't move. It sends a signal that releases the door latch. Really pretty cool.
