Watched your video, went to the local dealer and drove the 2025 Hybrid Nautilus white & black with cream interior. Drove it home. We needed a vehicle to tow behind our motorhome and this will work. Thanks for this video

Hmm.. I'd be curious what the fix is. I've seen a few comments from people saying they have issues with flat towing in general with different cars but no real solution or follow up is ever posted

@rickhughes85612 ай бұрын
Hi @carswithSteve, I have really enjoyed your reviews of the Nautilus. I'm currently waiting on my 2025 and trying to suss out whether the Viso heated wiper blades are still going to be included on the 2025 model year. The recent owner manual released for 2025 seems to have removed part number WW-2505 and is only indicating replacement for WW-2506 (for the driver's side). Not sure if they are still heated but have changed it up to an insert replacement part only. And if they aren't heated any longer....are they still the Visoblades (that deliver washer fluid along the entire blade)? Somewhat disappointed about the automated parking ( I used it infrequently on my 2017 MKX - but really enjoyed using when I needed to do some tighter parallel parking).
@CarsWithSteve2 ай бұрын
Thanks Rick! Exciting about the new ride.. how did you spec out your Nautilus? The 2025 model does have heated wipers still across all trim levels but I'm unsure what types of blades will be on the 2025s as they haven't landed at dealers yet. I was surprised that they decided to get rid of park assist, especially since all the sensors are there, tres bizarre

Wow, so fully loaded! Great call on the hybrid.. I've been in more of them lately and love them. It would be great to get some more EV mileage out of it but the existing range is a good start

@@CarsWithSteve We received our 2025 Nautilus last week. Can now confirm the blades are not Visoblades any longer, the chrome stripe in the rocker panel has been replaced with a black stripe (even on the reserve model without jet appearance), but we do get one themed version of rejuvenate included which is cool. Very quiet, quick to warm up in Winnipeg weather (so far), and love the longer range with the hybrid.

I test-drove a 2024 Nautilus today, and the engine and road noise were much louder than those of my Audi Q7 and BMW X5. Even with the stereo turned up, the road and engine noise were very perceptible and annoying.

@CarsWithSteve, I think you already know I'm a Lincoln fan, so this video was a fun watch. I have to say, while I'm still a bit old school preferring Internal Combustion Engines, The Hybrid Electric seems to be gaining in popularity. I read an article yesterday that Oliver Zipse, CEO of BMW, delivered a message at the Paris Auto Show that the EU needs to cancel the upcoming 2035 ICE ban. Apparently, full EV sales have been dropping precipitously as European buyers are trading them in on cars with traditional IC engines. If it's happening in Europe, I have to believe it's happening in North America, too. Which is why the Hybrid Electric has a competitive advantage over full electric. It isn't hamstrung by all the drawbacks full EVs come with: limited range on a full charge, performance affected by cold weather, fewer lithium ion batteries translates to a reduced risk of fire, charging time vs. refueling time, etc. I think the Lincoln Nautilus hybrid will likely impress people who want reduced carbon emissions but aren't prepared to go through all the daily hassles of a full EV.
@CarsWithSteve3 ай бұрын
I just had a chance to read that article! I can't see countries being ready for a ban of ICE vehicles, the price point isn't anywhere close to being affordable, infrastructure isn't there yet.. it would be a nightmare. Plus the ICE ban is only for regular passenger vehicles, not trucks, ships etc. Sodium batteries are showing some promise but something new is going to have to come in order for a switch to an ICE alternative to make sense. Hydrogen if they can really maximize the tech? I think if the Nautilus was a PHEV it would be more promising, there's something about getting fully electric mileage with a gas engine backup that is pretty great

@@CarsWithSteve Thanks for the info. I'm assuming changes would be minor and mostly interior or perhaps trim options. Thanks again.
@CarsWithSteveАй бұрын
That's what I'm thinking. The interior is brand new so I can't see them making changes to that, but maybe some color and slight trim changes. An old Lincoln guide showed the Nautilus potentially getting an EV upgrade in 2025/2026 which I'm not ruling out as there isn't a full EV in the Lincoln lineup yet
