How does the Chronic 94 compare to the Reckoner 102? Except for the width. Similar style? How about sizing for a 5'10"/150 lbs rider given the deep rocker?
@SkiEssentials Жыл бұрын
I'd say pretty similar. The flex in the tips and tails of both skis is gratuitous. The Chronic has a thicker and stiffer underfoot zone, and I'd rather ski that 94 on a daily basis by far vs. the Reckoner. I'd go 178 based on your stats and application.

I know I'm late, but I have a few questions for anyone who may know about this. I am interested in skis for next season and am debating between these Line Chronics and the Surface Give'rs. I know the chronics are great and there is a lot of reviews/info on them. And I have seen some videos and threads on the Surface givers, and they seem super fun and I think they could match my style of skiing very well. But I do not know much at all about their company, or the skis themselves. There are no reviews on youtube about them and very little said about them online. Should I stick with the chronics for next season? How is Surface? Are they trustworthy and make good skis? Thanks and I hope someone knows something about them. As I said, I do have a basic understanding of the skis, but I would like to know more.

We have certainly enjoyed our time on the Chronic 94--a very fun blend of playfulness in tips and tails with a stout underfoot feeling! Nice thick sidewall and core profile in the mid section of that 94 for sure. The Surface skis we're not too familiar with, but the Give'r looks pretty similar to the Chronic 101 with what looks like a bit less rocker in terms of length.

My only concern is the durability on the chonics, as I need them to last a few seasons. However I don't know if Surface is any better.

I'm an experienced skier and I love doing jumps in the park. I want to get more into freestyling. Can you recommend the best beginner-friendly freestyle ski for me? I'm considering the Line Chronic 94 or the Armada ARV 88.
@SkiEssentials4 ай бұрын
The ARV is the more park-oriented of the two while the Chronic is more like a narrower freeride ski. I'd think the ARV is what you're looking for here, especially if you're focused on freestyle.

In this Chronic 94, based on your stats and application, the 164 is your best bet.

I'd say the 164 is good unless you know you want something slightly longer.

Hey guys I want to buy them but I dont know what size because in 164 They would fit pefectly to my size and weight but I think ill grow some cm to Winter and i‘m à pretty advanced skier and skied almost every ski 5 cm taller me ? So whats you opinion should I Go with 171 cm or 164 I am 163
@SkiEssentials9 ай бұрын
I'd go 164. These skis are surprisingly sturdy underfoot with some heft to them, so I don't think upsizing is necessary.

poacher or chronic 94 ?
@SkiEssentials Жыл бұрын
Chronic is considerably thinner and more flexible in the tips and tails while the Poacher is more consistent throughout. It's more about how you want the ski to engage as to which one will work better for your ski style.

Chronic 94 or the k2 reckoner 92
@SkiEssentials5 ай бұрын
The Chronic 94 is a real ski while the Reckoner 92 is an upgraded package twin. If you're more serious about your skiing, the Chronic is the way to go.

I currently have an arv 106 and i’m trying to get a ski for park that i can butter on what would be better a line chronic or a arv 86?
@yashshah535 Жыл бұрын
I also have a pair of Armada ARV 106 and am deciding on a new park ski. My reasoning for getting these are there softness in the tips and tails, for sick butters, their thin tips making for a easy swing weight on 360s e.t.c, and thick core underfoot making for solid landings on big jumps. Definitely compliment our freeride charging Armadas in what I hope will be a great park ski.
@SkiEssentials Жыл бұрын
The Chronic skis are more flexible in the tips and tails while the ARV is a bit stiffer and more consistent throughout. If butters and more ground work are part of your plan, I'd look to the Chronic a bit closer. More pop and energy in the ARV, though, and more traditional/classic park performance.
