Appreciate you wanting to show the guitar stores, but it would be more enjoyable if you would move the camera slower and give the viewer more of a chance to focus on the guitars.

Nice video, I did a similar trip round those same shops only a few weeks back. Was a bit underwhelmed by the Gibson garage and I was hoping to be a bit more, er, whelmed! It was ok but nothing you can't really get in other big stores. Some nice vintage guitars in Denmark Street but London prices of course which isn't unreasonable given their location and having to run a shop which can't be cheap. Other vintage dealers elsewhere in the country that are more reasonably priced.

Thanks, I enjoy going up there so much. I plan to go more from time to time. It's not cheap in Denmark Street, but they're pretty willing to do good deals with a bit of haggling in my experience and trades of old stuff. Always a good time! 👍🎸

I've bought two instruments from Hanks. One of the best things about going to Denmark Street is seeing people coming away carrying cases. Somtimes you wonder what they've bought.

I am doing an art history program studying abroad in London, and I am saving every penny to visit Denmark street and buy one of those Marshall SV20C amps with the 60s Mod style target design on it. Hope it's not too heavy to bring onto a plane with me!

Thanks for this video,i saw a lot of rare guitars.But when i looked at the Hank's shop,it's all too packed with guitars and amps and that doesn't feel comfortable.And Hank's wasn't the only one,to be so "packed". For not British customers/buyers,Denmark Street guitarshops aren't relevant, to prices they're asking for guitars and the taxes you have to pay,when you go abroad/home country. Also shipping guitars from England to the Netherlands is a disaster, €200-300 shipping costs.

They are pretty full of stock which makes sense as real estate in London is sooo expensive so they have to fill the places up with guitars - it makes for an awesome selection though! And they're all very willing for customers to try instruments out. It depends on how you look at it... if they were in the right area of countryside they could have a giant warehouse with lots of space. In London, every square metre counts. They do deals in these places too, so the prices you see aren't necessarily what you pay if you like to haggle. In my experience, they are more than happy to take guitars in part exchange - and to give very fair prices. The shipping I guess can't be cheap, but I guess it depends on what guitar you want and how it gets transported. As a Londoner, I've been going up to Denmark Street since I was a kid and I feel very lucky to have captured some of that on film and to be able to share it. It's hard to say how long any of these shops will still be there. I've seen a lot of shops in that area come and go over the years and it's terribly sad. I wanted to keep the video positive and upbeat but the reality is, survival is not a given. The MusicRoom in Denmark Street is one music shop I'd been going to for years, but I was shocked to see it had closed down on this visit. Even big brands struggle - several years ago there used to be a giant Virgin Megastore about 5 minutes from there - it was huge and had the most incredible selection of guitars, drums, basses in a lot of space... But alas, it couldn't survive. I hope the Gibson Garage sticks around! It's very different to the other shops but it is a statement of the importance of guitars and a great showcase. We shall see... I'm going to do my best in the coming months to do more coverage of these shops as there are plenty more to cover. I might get to Camden too as there are some cool ones there too. There's always Andertons, GuitarGuitar, Coda Music etc more out in the British suburbs too... lots of potential to cover! Keep rockin'

I know,the rental prices are insane in London,so stocking as much gear in those shops,is quite logic.But also rental prices in the Netherlands are very high,so a lot of shops/places aren't used and rented, cause with those prices,you can't run a shop and earn money.Even in my hometown Arnhem. Or you grow grass/weed in the basement,to survive and don't go bankrupt(which happens much more,as people suppose).
