Sadly, 230 bucks for a box with nice chases is affordable nowadays. A box of Prizm football is $1000 and you may get $100 in value out of it.

When I was a kid in the early 90s, i used to get $5/wk allowance. Every friday, I'd ride my bike to the store and spend it on a pack of Marvel cards. Back then, holograms were the only "hits". It was all about completing the base set.

I wish they were a little thinner but I do like cards with some heft to them. I know a lot of people like platinum because of the chrome style cards, and of course metal is very popular. I like fleer ultra because of all the original art work on the base cards and, in my opinion, the best inserts!

I gotta go with box 2 for that weapon x /75. Hoping to pull some nice Weapon X stuff myself. Are 75 pt top loaders too small for the card stock on this set? I've heard 100 pt mentioned a couple of times now.

I went 100 and they were perfect. I would recommend thick card sleeves that are precut or slit so you dont snag the corners. I used 75 point for the non thick stuff because they ranged in thickness and it was easier than having 5 different toploader sizes around haha

I hear ya, but when we mostly talk about sports cards on the channel $230 for a box of nice cards is practically free. Its sad but its true. $230 probably doesn't even get you super low end basketball or football. Platinum is cool, but isn't that even more expensive?

@@journeyman2003 This was part of the first case I opened...bought a second one...made a profit on both and kept a bunch of cards for my PC. You are LUCKY to get 30 percent value back on a box of football or basketball cards. I see people opening boxes of Prizm for $1000 and getting MAYBE $200 in value back. BTW you think it's bad now...wait until Fanatics takes over Marvel!
