Do you have the diagram to show us which slot/fuse you plug in? Thanks

Thanks for the video. Does the black hash pattern on the windshield, to the left of the dash cam, block camera footage? I have a Viofo mini that is in the same position and some of the left side footage is blocked.

@@jjzman4129 not for me, took a while to get the position just right lol maybe this camera isn’t as wide?

Great video with a pretty detailed instruction. Just got 2023 CX-5 Sport Design turbo. I have a Viofo 129 Duo Pro dashcam from my previous car, which I want to install on this one. I'm wondering if I really need to install a rear view camera since it is usually more headache in terms of the installation process than a front camera. I'm a bit worried about removing/pulling the A pillar though as don't want to damage anything there :) Do you think it should be fine to simply insert the cable inside the A Pillar without removing it completely or not a good idea? Thank you.

@@IevgeniiWT thank you! So, I was actually thinking the same thing. In theory, you can probably just tuck the cable underneath the pillar. But the risk is that they interfere with the airbag deployment, that’s why I zip tied them in the back. May be able to just tuck them in the back of the pillar, just a tight squeeze hand wise.

@RobsAutos got it. Will have to decide on how I want to proceed in this case with A Pillar concern. As for the rearview camera on CX-5 , will you be installing one as well or not required in your case? Thank you

@@IevgeniiWT I won’t be doing a rear view install for this one, I usually only reserve those ones for my sports cars due to how much of a pain I find running wires honestly 😅

@RobsAutos makes sense 😂 One more quick question: I checked fuse box ports description in my car's manual (which is btw 100% exactly like Mazda CX-5 2024 year) and two ports which you use are 15A fuse rating type (#11 and #14) and it says "Accessory sockets" (R.Outlet1) and (R.Outlet2). Are those the ones which you actually used to connect two wires? Also, looks like my Viofo dashcam as well as a hardwire kit both don't come with any fuse connectors. Do you know what fuse connectors should I buy? Thank you
@RobsAutos3 ай бұрын
@@IevgeniiWT yep, those are the two that I used! I knew I forgot to add something to the video (a diagram). In terms of piggy back connectors, whichever fits. While the fuses themselves are low profile, I found the normal piggy back fuses to fit into the fuse box way better due to the longer prongs they have. Then just use 2 normal 15A fuses in it

Can I ask which slot on the fuse box you installed fuse adapters?

If I hook up my dash cam to the fuse that's always on, shouldn't that drain the battery?
@RobsAutos2 ай бұрын
@@samkitty5894 the kit I use has a reader in it, so when the battery voltage gets too low it completely shuts off the camera

Red is usually constant 12V. Yellow is usually ignition.

what are the chances of blowing the airbag? and I was thinking of using the OBD instead of the fuse. not a pro with cars 😅
