2024 MAZDA CX5 first time oil change DIY

If it's a brand new car, first oil change at 3200 miles seem quite early. Did you get a notification on the dashboard ?

You should be doing a flooded engine start after oil change. This way you prime the dry filter and oil galleries without engine starting. Put accelerator to floor and push and hold start button for about 7 to 10 seconds then release accelerator pedal and it will start at that time.

Take it easy guy. Just pour new oil in to the new filter. It’s not that serious

Why is oil filter look like its the size of a lawn mower filter. Its smaller than the one for my 1.8 engine in my civic.
