CLEARLY THE THE BEST HORSE IN THE WORLD AT 2 MILES EXCEPT FOR EQUINOX WHO HAS A SMILE ON HIS FACE LOL. Oh well here we go again. Lots can change in the remainlng time as you know so weights and Acceptances Critical. Huge effort Lew putting that together but you won' t see the VRC TRYING TO HELP THE BACKBONE OF RACING BEING THE PEOPLE WHO PAY FOR HORSE RACING YES PUNTERS!!!!! When will they wake up?? I get the feeling T O Royal isn't here for the same reason. Instead of racing superstars the Melbourne Cup will continue to attract only horses that have perfect clean sheet in terms of conformation and previous injuries.

He's got a 95 Rating here in Oz. The last two locally trained horses in my top 50 are Future History & Aurora's Symphony. They have ratings of 99. That's pretty much my reasoning for them being above Saint George. We shouldn't sell short the win of Future History in G3 Bart Cummings last year. And I considered that StG had his Queens Vase achievement more than 18months ago. He looked very unlucky in his recent run here in Oz. I'm actually surprised he didn't appear in the Archer Stakes field this weekend.

I thought he would have done better in the St Leger, and I've never seen a Doncaster St Leger winner race in the Melbourne Cup of the same year. Now with his well below par performance I'm still doubtful about him coming.

I was wrong - St George needs a penalty to get into the MC - nothing like racing to make you look like a dill ! The handicaper at release of weights said a placing in the would lift him into the 40's in order. I thought they got a penalty only if they won?

I just had a look at his position in the Order Of Entry. They're best off having a crack at the Bart Cummings. He still needs a 2kg penalty to get him around the mid 30s. He would need two wins or maybe cop a big 2KG penalty for winning the Moonee Valley Gold Cup. It's rare that the handicapper gives them 2kg in one race win though. He'd have to shit in.
