With massive discounts available for the superior X3M40i the GLC43 will be a hard sell at a close to 20 lakh+ price difference. At that price one could also size up to the X5 40i or even up badge to a Porsche Macan.

It was, but it's no longer on sale. Unless BMW reintroduces it, we'll have to wait until the next-gen model (X3 M50) which is over a year away. There's also the ICE Porsche Macan that's still on sale, but that's quite dated now.

The explanation and rationale given for such a resource wasteful category of vehicle is just one of the reasons wrong with todays design with most, if not all, manufacturers. This car can’t go as fast or handle as well as a sports coupe and nor can it go off-road. The Germans seems to be losing their way. Quite badly.

Literally the same boring interior in every car with an ugly center touch screen with bezels like its 2004. Maybe that’s why Mercedes is called a classic. Atleast give it a high resolution and frequency touchscreen without such input lag that can be seen. Selling cars for 70-80 lakhs to a crore, and can’t even give a screen of an apple or Samsung mobile like qualit with minimal bezels. Shameful

I've driven the C43 sedan, it's pathetic to drive, terrible engine, terrible gear box not even close to the M340i. But Autocar is funded by Mercedes India so that's why they will never criticise any MB car!
