Is the Carrera a Luxury Grand Tourer?? Is it even luxurious?? Or even classed as a Grand Tourer? This is both, that is neither.....do Porsche fans simply not know what vehicle classes are anymore? What point is being made here? Like, they made the rear trunk automatic and hands free to boot (no pun intended), do they need to make their intentions anymore obvious?? Cars are about the experience until you see a car that you don't like. Everyone who drives this commends the driving experience. The best sounding fully restricted OPF V8 in production right now, and it's not even close, the torque, the blow off sounds and turbo flutter, the stability etc. This is a package, you aren't used to. Either try to explore the package or just ignore it. Perf perf perf, AMG currently hold more track records that we can count on both hands.

In the same vain when I can't call someone's voice in a video fake, this isn't fake. It's the best you can get fully restricted and with all the insulation, and it also literally sounds even better on the outside.

For $180K It needs more physical buttons for climate control etc....Touch screens are too distracting when going through the menus

Distracting? If you know Mercedes, you know that it's literally always there. There are no menus. It's also at least 10cm closer to the driver compared to the buttons. Mercedes did not move from buttons until they brought the display closer to the driver. Much more ergonomic in reachability, being at arms reach even for shorter folks, and always being in the same spot. Pls. Driving modes being right on my steering wheel, and the best voice control in the automotive industry. Stop trying to dumbify the human capacity. Ergonomics are the primary factor....with good ergonomics, it just needs to be executed properly. A swipe or tap, easy as spreading butter on my bread.

a very beautiful car. but on that high end of the spectrum, there is a lot of stiff competition (Porsche GT3 Tourer, anything Aston Martin) BUT this one looks very elegant.

Theres less roadnoise due to it being a coupe. Ofcourse you can hear the exhaust more. But both sound the same, as ive driven both when my salesman let me test drive one of these to get me to trade my 23 SL for one of these.

I can see that, but this is a car that is more practical than Porsche and spacious w/ splashes of comfort. Which is exactly what Benz customers wanted compared to the first gen GTs. Also a 2.7 to 60 is plenty fast.
