Great TBR! I have read several of the books on your list. I read Michael Vey #1 and have book 2 to read soon. My niece and nephews loved the series and blew through it. I love The Screwtape Letters and the Tolkien books. You picked a great Agatha Christie to start with. I think And Then There Were None is her best one!

Screwtape is such a great twist on the mentor prompt! I hope you are able to get to it. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I just bought A Tale of Two Cities also, and hadn't considered it for one of the prompts. Now I think I'll give it a go! If you do get to that one, perhaps a buddy read?? 👀 Looks like a great reading month ahead! 🎉

I hope I am too, cuz I think it's one of my my 2024 reading goals.. also yes a buddy read!!

A Tale of Two Cities is so good, and contains some of the most beautiful and powerful writing by Dickens. It’s an amazing story of redemption too.

I was planning to ask if you'd remind me to watch the video That you release later talking about how reading Charles Dickens goes, But then you mentioned about Colossians and my heart just sank Because that's a letter you could read in one sitting... and to thank God more for providing that letter, I read it before finishing this remark It took me (casually reading aloud) about 14 minutes to end from start. Just budget a half-hour or so so you have some time to reflect and pray And I am confident this letter Paul wrote will minister to you in a big way!
@Celestria4 ай бұрын
I didn't realize it was so short! Lol I will definitely make time for prayer and reflection when I decide to read it. Thanks so much!!!

I’ve read Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. I remember liking it but it was a slow read. So a Tale of Two Cities may be a slow read but idk. I am curious what you think of it though!
@Celestria4 ай бұрын
Oh okay, thanks for that heads up. Hopefully not too slow lol

@@Celestria It's long, but it's epic! Haha!!

Epic love story could be combined with Book of the Bible. Any Gospel💕! Song of Solomon. Ruth. Or any biblical fiction based on those. When I think epic romance - I think old school CF writers like Oke or Wick.

That'd a good idea, thanks!!

I haven't actually read Fall of Numenor, but I'm pretty sure it's one of those that takes Tolkien's various drafts (the parts about Numenor) and compiles them all with commentary in between. So you'll be reading iterations of the same story, like, four or five times. Just so you know. 😂😂
@Celestria4 ай бұрын
Well that sounds horrible, I don't want to read that 😂
@MorgansEndlessBookshelf4 ай бұрын
@@Celestria Looking at Goodreads, it may not be. I'm not confident. It just came out right as I finished reading a bunch of drafts of Tolkien's stuff, so I was a little burnt out. 😂😂😂

Does the "epic romance" have to be about a romantic relationship? There's so many different types of love.

@@Celestria I'm glad you are doing well! Me too! I was just kidding...I'm sure videos are very hard to keep up with when other things in life are going on. But your fall vlogs (or any vlogs) are always so much fun! And your bookshelves always look so good! I have a question for you - when you moved, did you pack your books in any special way?
