@@amiltonsanchez5893 well I had to finance it over a 7 year period, and the interest rates where I live are quite high. While I agree 1 million percent that the vehicle looks much better from the outside without that "bar" going across the back window, it was a reference to the eclipse of the past. The classic eclipse had a spoiler on top of the back trunk. When driving the classic eclipse, one would see a bar going across the rearview mirror. It also helped when cars behind had their highbeams on. On the exterior of the 2018/2019/2020 Eclipse Cross, that did resemble a spoiler from the classic eclipse. BTW nice review.

Bonne revue !

1.5l turbo? Nope those small engines can't take that kind of abuse of a turbo and a cvt no I don't think this will last 5yrs. It costs the same as a Subaru crosstrek base or an masda 30 and those are more reliable. Great review thank you.
@FM-gv7sb10 ай бұрын
Nice review. Good looking vehicle. My problem is htat I don't care abotu toys like the camera or sunroof. What I care about is longevity. I dont' trust any turbo or CVT to last well over 100k. At least Mitsubishi overs a 100k warranty, but if they want to use a CVT combined with a turbo then they probably need to boost that up to 150k at least to provide buyer confidence. Of course, if you're the type to constantly have car payments then it doesn't' matter much as you'll probably not reach the failure point of the turbo. I do like the looks of it, but that turbo with a CVT. IDK. They should have allowed the option to buy it with the naturally aspirated 2.5L that's in the Outlander. Well, at least it's not a hybrid to boot.

I just purchased a 2024 SE Version. Only 180 miles now. The backup camera is totally washed out picture and not in focus. I adjusted it in the menu but still not good. I traded in my 2018 Outback which was my third Outback and its camera was razor sharp. So far, I have found out they have 90,000 Outlander models with a recall on them. I went to the dealer and they pulled up another 24 and it was just as bad. Whats up.
@terencelarkin595910 ай бұрын
When I went back to the dealership, they traded into the Outlander and I'm totally happy with it. Daytona Mitsubishi was more than fair with me. In fact I love the Outlander and it's much quieter than my 3 previous Outbacks. I never thought I'd buy anything but the Subaru so I'm glad I did. The quality is the best.

Got the '24 SE with the double sun/moonroof package..in all black..I'm ok with the performance except for when it's on eco mode. Maybe 10 to 20 more hp's would be nice but again I'm good. The one gripe I have...mine only came with roof rails so I ended up shopping on ebay for the crossbar💪🏼
@nightdrive2646 Жыл бұрын
On longer drives, I turn eco mode on when using cruise control for better mpg's, but then turn eco mode off when I use the gas pedal. It has been explained to me that eco mode tries to keep the cvt from shifting gears, or should I say tries to keep it from pretending to shift gears. I also have not felt the turbo kick in while in eco mode.

Needs a 2.0T with over 200 HP to be worthy of the Eclipse name.
@warcrabcyber9908 Жыл бұрын
You are wrong, the first generation eclipse came with 3 engine configurations A naturally aspirated 1.8 single overhead can 4g37 delivering 92hp A naturally aspirated 4g63 2.0 delivering 135hp - 150hp A 4g63t delivering 185 - 195 hp So technically the eclipse cross falls within the power range of previous eclipses since it has a 152hp configuration and a 161hp configuration. Even if the eclipse cross had 300hp would anyone really go racing on a track with a heavy crossover as opposed to a light car such as the gr yaris , gr corolla etc

@@digitaldoc100 The Eclipse Cross does have turbo, and does have 184 #-ft of torque. Mitsubishi did intentionally tone things down a bit so that people wouldn't be trying to race the vehicle, yet giving the vehicle just enough power for everyday driving. The Eclipse Cross is also WAY more refined than the older eclipse of the past. That said, you are partially correct that the Eclipse Cross does not have the same raw power that the older Eclipse had. I sometimes drive a 2009 Eclipse GT (3.8 L V6 engine) and a 2022 Eclipse Cross in the same day, and am continually reminded of the similarities and differences of the Eclipse and Eclipse Cross
@digitaldoc100 Жыл бұрын
@@nightdrive2646 I am rather bored with these manufacturers deciding on what is "Just enough power" to protect ourselves from our vehicles, and could use a dose of some raw power. I often get on the highway in NY rush hour, and know that the Eclipse Cross is not gonna do it given how aggressive other drivers are. They really could offer an optional 2.0T with about 225-ish HP and it would solve my issue completely, and should not take millions to develop.

You don't need to move the gear stick across, in drive you can just downshift using the paddles. Up and down shifting, although revs are slightly higher at any given speed. When you come to a stop, the CVT will shift automatically back into 'D' mode. NZ got an XLS and the top spec VRX.

Turbo is a deal breaker. Just something else to go wrong. And since the turbo has to have the bearings lubed by the engine oil that just puts alot more heat in that oil breaking it down even more.
