As an owner of an exceed ps ... There would be no possible reason to buy a 2wd model. The 4wd is basically the reason to even consider this car because basically it lacks in every other department compared to the competition. The 4wd is that superior to make it a consideration.

Some people just need decent ground clearance and a decent chassis to bolt a bullbar onto, to survive their daily rural commute. Not everyone “needs” 4wd to throw their Toorak tractor at every boghole they find on Sunday. The 2WD version is a far better option than a top of the spec Outlander, as neither are going proper off-road.

The bulbs you are bemoaning are exceedingly unlikely to be halogen globes, which are found in spotlights for high light output. You probably mean incandescent globes, which are an even lower grade. Mr Edison would be proud.

The new one is coming in 2025, that SuperSelect II 4WD is still the best in class same with Mitsubishi's traction control programming, also this rides better than the Fortuner and has a better third row folding.

What's the point of driving a model thats just about to be upgraded in several weeks, and also the all new generation Pajero Sport is expected to be released next year apparently.
@indeepeterhopwood81065 ай бұрын
Because the new one will have more annoying “bongs”, ad blue and will cost more. All to do the same job. What’s the point in upgrading other than keeping up with the Jones?

We have a ‘22 model GLS Deluxe WITH paddle shifters. It’s a great car, but it’s definitely behind competitors in some ways. The powertrain is quite good when you install an iDrive to wake the throttle up. We just took it in for its 30,000km service after less than a year. Went from Brisbane to Melbourne and back in it last year. Hasn’t missed a beat.

I have been driving a 2020 Pajero Sport Exceed for the last 6 months, coming out of a Ford Everest. They have their known faults, but the list tends not to be as long or as possibly catastrophic as the Everests. I think you might have been driving your test car wrong. I have found the PS rewards relaxed driving. Leave the rev's in the low 2,000s, be a little patient at slower speeds, let the transmission do its stuff, and you find you move along fine with the traffic. My wife's ASX and my son's Tuscon feel much quicker - but take the same distance to reach 80km/h. When you drive the PS hard it makes more noise, but doesn't seem to be much faster. It is sort of like an old man's car...

Flappy paddles on autos are the most garbage idea ever fitted to a car and nothing but an exercise in stroking one’s ego. And far too many are lining up to pay handsomely for them. This car represents one of the best value for money rural vehicles that doesn’t need carry a pallet or dogs, but can handle crap roads and wildlife. None of those things require 4WD or the extra costs associated with it. And it will do it without any problems whatsoever for a 10 years, probably 20. That’s what real people want. Not a fashion accessory

I actually had to confirm that I saw 2024 in the title. This is sad. Like the T O Y O T A H I L U X, say it with me at home "T O Y O T A H I L U X." I just love your reviews so much. People complain that you guys cannot be pleased but that's only because you know what a car in 2024 should look and feel like, especially in 2024. Allow me to go on a little rant: Brand simps that say "always and will be" about their preferred brands, are brainwashed. FOR EXAMPLE, they say Toyota has 'earned' its reputation for being rugged so that gives them a pass to make plastic interior cars. They're right, Toyota did earn their rugged reputation, but now they're earning a new reputation, "cheap quality." They say you can buy a Toyota today for 70k and resell it 10 years later for 69k. The only bigger sheep than you is the person buying a 10 year old beaten up tin can for 69k. Amazing video. Couldn't agree more.
