Friend of mine just got one of these and i like the faux leather material on the back. The side rails are plastic, but at the price point for this phone, that is ok. Camera system is kind of meh-- just one single lens and a camera flash. You CAN get some decent still frames if you get your subject in focus, but lack of OIS does make things a bit challenging. 120 hz refresh rate is very nice and honestly unexpected at this price point. The display resolution is mediocre and pxels can be picked out, but nobody in normal use is going to go around doing that. And the screen has enough viewing space to make content consumption adequate. It will not blow you away in performance obviously, but it wasnt intended for that. I wouldnt run graphic intensive games on it, but for all the basic phone functions, sure it will do those without much quibble. It probably does have stiffer competition that offers better performance, some of them from its very own maker that you can get around the same price or just a little bit more. In a pinch, it should do what most people need, but there are probably options out there that make more sense and capable of a bit more without breaking the bank.

I got this phone yesterday. Wasn't the one I went in for but I wanted a Motorola and they only had 3 to choose from. Anyway, The Flashing notifications is turned off. I have triple checked, but the camera flash is still flashing every time a call comes in. How can I turn that off? It is ANNOYING at best. And will be very inappropriate in some places I need my phone out but no flashing. Thanks for any help.

Nice vid! I buy a cell phone to make phone calls and go online for youtube, uber, etc.. if i want a nice camera, i will buy a camera! I have had this phone for 2 weeks and i am sorry i never tried MOTO before! I paid $170 for it and i got more than my monies worth imho. First off the build feels solid and really good quality. The features are crazy good! The 8gb ram is sweet and 256k of mem is sweet as well. I guess it's a matter of what you want in a phone. Me..I can't really find anything to criticize based on the cost of the phone and what i need in a phone. It by far has the best build quality and feel than any other phone i have owned.

This phone looks pretty decent but Motorola should have made a better display on it. And even though the processor in it seems ok, Motorola cheaped out there too. There’s no reason why they couldn’t even have used the snapdragon 6 gen 1 that the G Stylus 2023 5g had. Even though the Samsung A15 5g seems like a lesser phone, they put more effort into that phone and it’ll slaughter Motorola G 5g 2024 on updates. Motorola sucks at doing good support on their devices.

Thank you for this video this is kind of funny because this is actually kind of describing my perfect device. I love Samsung I seriously think they're my favorite brand of Android device but I really like Motorola's as well. I know this isn't really a big selling point but as a usually impaired person that has trouble seeing anyways I don't care much about the screen what I care about is does it have a good keyboard that's easy to type on does it have a good sound most importantly which my Samsung Galaxy s21 totally fails at does it have a good battery life. Battery life performance for day-to-day tasks like downloading audiobooks and sending and receiving text messages and phone calls and a good speaker or super important things to me. I don't want to trade in my Galaxy s21 because I know it's far more powerful but if I was in the phone market today I think I might would buy this 😊

I been with boost when they were Virgin mobile and they took over I was paying 35 flat a month for 10 gigs of data and no hot spot until I called them like a little over a year ago and wanted to change my plan to the one I have now and it's cheaper and better. But no I didn't have to get a plan with the phone for $10.88

A fast refresh rate is such a stupid and worthless feature on a 170 dollar phone. What do you can have faster scrolling? Just change the animation speeds in developer options if you want the phone to “feel snappier”. So instead you get a low res screen so you can shove a dumb feature most can’t even comprehend into the phone. Samsung does full hd oled 120 on cheap phones because they make the displays.
