Great to hear from you! I’ve been impressed with most of what I’ve had so far! The only exception is their French Toast Imperial IPA! I got some for a party last Christmas, thought they might be fun… not so much! Here’s the weird thing - it smells and tastes just like French toast with all the butter and syrup and all - which is amazing! Just not as a beer?!?! 😂 Very strange experience! You’ll have to let me know if you were able to try the Irish cream stout!? Thanks pal!

Hiyas Donnie, So pleased that you had a fab time at Muletown. You just can't beat the pure joy, comradery and fellowship of this wonderful group of pipe and cigar enthusiasts. I've been at it since 1972 and I still find so many new pipes and tobaccos to try and explore; they enhance and expand my smoking experiences. The friendships and fellowship is icing on that big delicious cake. Margate is delicious. BTW....It's pronounced "Byarnae Nielsen. The "J" sounds like a "Y" 😊 My last name is spelled Johansson, the Swedish pronunciation is Yohansson. KPO ✓ Gary

You know Gary… I could have sworn that I replied to you?!? Apparently I was mistaken - not the first time, certainly won’t be the last! And you couldn’t be more spot on - there’s something special and unique about our band of misfits, especially those that gather together at shows! So many great folks to meet, so many new blends to try and so many new and old pipes to ooh and aah over… Wish I could make it up to Chicago, but that’s my birthday weekend and supposedly I have plans?!? And thanks for advice on pronunciation! I think I pronounced it properly the first time at the show, but then heard several different variations… they all got jumbled up in my brain!? Are you familiar with him and/or operation?! Would love to know more, but haven’t found much? Cheers to you, my friend!

That was a great recap. I so enjoyed our chat and am tickled that you’re liking that blend. I’ve got one Bjarne Nielsen pipe (carved by Johs) that’s fantastic. No doubt you’re going to love the ones you picked up.

Donnie, it was so very wonderful to meet you at Muletown! You are a super guy! The whole show experience was awesome and overwhelming and so much fun! I'm slightly out of my element doing event videos but it was a learning experience! I'm more the still photo nature photography type, having 20k nature photos on my Flickr account, but one needs to venture from their comfort zone at times, so I was 'that guy videoing everyone' for that one day! 😁🤣🤣You made some excellent pipe acquisitions at the show...congrats, and enjoy them immensely! 😎👍

My daughter is in a play that wraps that weekend - kinda need to be there - I know you know how it is! But I’m hoping to get up to Columbus this year. No way Jesse is that old?! I also found out that a number of other YTPC folks are in fact younger than I expected?!?! Last thing - what did you think of that Irish cream stout?!?

Was privileged to meet Bjarne back in 1980 at the Tinder Box International Pipe and Tobacco Show when id that year it was held in Las Vegas. It was usually held in LA but in that Olympic year LA was overwhelmed and didn't had the hotel capacity to host another convention. That year not only was Bjarne present, but also Peter Stokkebye, Erik Nording and Cynthia Fuente were in attendance.

Oh wow! That would have been awesome to see/meet all those greats at a show!? I've been trying to learn more about Bjarne since I picked up those 2 - there's just not much out there that I've found yet? It looks like Johs is the only current maker who has/had any ties to Bjarne? Really appreciate you stopping by and for your comment - many thanks!
