$80k car with these paint issues... c'mon Ford...unacceptable

Ford needs to deploy robots that perform paint inspection procedures that uses special technology to identify flaws onto the vehicle’s surface and allowing cameras to scan it to detect even the slightest variation in the reflective paintwork.

The fixes/ dealer repairs will be worse than rhe imperfections from the factory. Actually the robots paint better than humans. I recommend just accept the paint as it is and move on. The dark horse paint issues are way worse and need to be resolved for sure. I spent 43 years in the automotive industry and no domestic paint is 100% perfect.

Yeah I'm definitely tempted nit to take it to them. Just paranoid about corrosion etc

Get use to the rocks chips bro. Expect at least 3 everytime you get on the highway.

My detailer said there black specs under the clear coat. Im wondering if this is part of it

When was this car built? I have my 24 GT premium in Vapor blue with midnight pony package scheduled for build April 22.

Not sure when it was built as I bought someone else's order. I'm sure there's a way to figure it out lol. But go over your car... there WILL be issues in the paint.

It is in the door jam it will show the build date also at the bottom of the window sticker

Fords paint is dog shit. I’ve had my car for 3 years and there’s so many chips and knicks all over the bumper, hood, and roof. It’s honestly ridiculous. My wife’s Nissan Rogue is a year older with almost double the miles and the same black color and she has a MAYBE 1/4 of the chips my car has. And no, I don’t ride peoples ass. Only solution is to either PPF as soon as you get the car or get an aftermarket bumper/hood and PPF. I will be doing the latter. I’ve been reading about Fords paint quality for years in the Mustang Forums.

Sh.t don’t accept anything but brand new - fords paint control is crap. Mine is getting a complete respray. It will get worse and you’ll be paying for a new paint job out of pocket so get it fixed now under warranty

You don't wanna see my S550 as the hood has blisters all over the hood and both rear fenders have blisters that have now chipped off and using gloss black vinyl to cover the chips! The MOST important thing that we tend to ignore is getting PPF in the whole front bumper and hood which would've stopped this from happening, I knew I was suppose to do it and just didn't put any money into protecting our rides...THESE PAINT DEFECTS USUALLY START WITH TINY BLISTERS OR DIMPLES!

Good luck with that aluminum hood, im sure it already has corrosion on the underneath side that will 100% make it to the top side

Ford just has terrible quality. I bought my 2015 mustang new and the hood rusted 1 year into ownership. I solved the problem by getting a carbon hood lol. I would take your car to Brown Bros in Van

@@mT_atvF5KCVHlk Because everything in my car is old isn’t rusted, and plastic that’s why it’s clear then either you’re lying or can’t take care of your vehicle. But tell me how in the world does a a aluminum hood rust when aluminum is rust proof (we learned this in school but Google it) it does corroded but rust no but how do you have a rust hood??? I’m genuinely confused to how?

@@_Shake_i It would appear iron particles in the hood production process can get imbedded in the aluminum along seam around the hood which later can start the issue. Once you have it, the hood is apparently not fixable as the problem will come back if you repair it. This goes back to the release of the TSB to provide a new hood.
