Alex Bowman holds off Joey Hand and Tyler Reddick to snap an 80-race winless streak with his first road/street course win in the second street course race in Chicago for the NASCAR Cup Series.
The original race distance was 75 laps, however the race was red flagged on lap 26 for over an hour because of heavy rain and shortened due to darkness as the race was timed to end at 8:20 p.m. CDT with one lap after the set time. Because of that, 58 laps (127.6 mi, 205.352 km) were completed out of the originally scheduled 75 laps.

We were there and the rain ruined the race. They started it too late also. It was perfect up until after they started their engines for the first time then the rain started

NASCAR gets more Stupid every weekend. Why even have Rain Tires if your not going to use them. Could have, Should have easily finished that race.

They don’t have rain tires. They have damp tires. And without the damp tires, we don’t restart the race today. We barely get any racing today. The reason the race ended when it did was darkness. In addition, these cars spit up so much water and spray, which is why they stopped initially
