Hey Lewin, great to see you back. Your channel has always had a great vibe with content focused on value. I think a lot of music KZbinrs fall into pandering to the algorithm, which then results in content that has no heart. Your channel has always had a lot of heart and is genuine….which is what creates real lifelong fans. You keep being you.

Such a great studio space you have 🙂 I love my GAP PREQ73 on my Carnhill modded GAP PRE73 MK III, awesome for 'Snare Top' 😎 I have 10 outboard channels (Golden Age Project/Premier/Alctron) of 1073 style pre's for my home drum studio space. Awesome brother...I'm proud of you 👍. I've got a 2014 Mac mini that crashed.i took it to the shop, and got it fixed,but Apple won't let me download garage band. I looked it up and they are doing this to a lot of ppl. I just downloaded reaper and been trying to figure it out. If you have any ideas for getting garage band back on mine, please let me know. Miss your vids.and Beautiful studio 🎉

I’m sure you can download the old version you had before with an older Mac. I have a 2009 Mac and once when the app was deleted and wouldn’t let me get the new version I just had to look through the system to redownload the old one. I can still use GarageBand on it

Hi...Another great video! I have a problem with my Garageband. I'm wanting to mix my recorded songs using a multitrack interface but i can't see how to output from my projects to the Behringer UMC1820...All the inputs are present though which i find a bit strange...Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks...Jay..
@GaragebandandBeyond4 ай бұрын
What happens when you set the inputs to channel 2-8? Can you record through them or not? I assume you're assigning inputs to channels that are are actually being used on the interface.
@JayPren4 ай бұрын
@@GaragebandandBeyond Hi and thanks for the reply. I've already recorded the songs now I'm wanting to do a better mix than what Garageband offers by using a U-Phoria 1820 as an interface then from the U-Phoria 1820 into a mixer. Only inputs are showing in the smart controls and not output..?? Thanks..
@GaragebandandBeyond4 ай бұрын
@@JayPren oh OK. I understand what you’re trying to do now. Yes, you are correct, GarageBand does not have any outputs for routing signals However, I will say, you can do pretty much everything “inside the box”. What is it that you’d like to accomplish? Exactly are you trying to cuse an external compressor or some sort of effect unit?
@JayPren4 ай бұрын
@@GaragebandandBeyond All i want to do is get a better mix of my songs. I've heard other music of a collaborator pal and his stuff is far more clearer than mine. He uses the same set up as what i want to use. He's surprised there's no outputs in Garageband as well...There must be a way around my problem? Thanks ...Jay
@GaragebandandBeyond4 ай бұрын
@@JayPren I’ve been saying this for years… If you mixes in GarageBand are not coming out well, it is not GarageBand’s fault, it’s yours! Lol Adding more stuff to your process isn’t going to fix your problem. You can definitely trust me on that. I can guarantee you that you can get a good sounding mix out of all of the stock stuff GarageBand comes with. Also, don’t forget I do and for people if you ever would like to try that out!

@GaragebandandBeyond great video Lewin- really happy for this amazing accomplishment. I was interested to see that you upgraded your PreSonus Monitor controller since I am looking to get one. I'm weighing between the PreSonus and the Audient Nero (even with the huge price difference). The question really becomes about the headphone amps since my monitors are powered. Love to hear your thoughts since I use the Neumann NDH 30s and also some 64 Audio IEM and need some clean power for both.

@@GaragebandandBeyond in the video it seems like the ratio of the length and width of the studio are far bigger compared to the height, (of course for a recording studio, why you ask that? What is this video about?), but of course i can be wrong, that's why I asked.
