Disagree with the steelers grade. "boring picks", no, not flashy, yes. But the picks were generally all above value. Fautanu and Frazier did go pretty close to where they were projected but Roman and Payton were projected high seconds that got taken in the third and fourth

Barry has gone from making videos proving Brady is a system QB & that Rodgers has been let down by his team's defense to spewing empty memes way too much for my liking. Then he came out with that system of rating player effectiveness all on his own which staggers me. But then he sinks too often to spewing empty memes again. "By all means, Barry, tell us which star QB would have had 40 TDs had *they* been on the Panthers this year." Nope, too much analysis. Bryce Young is a bust Because I Sayeth So. Thankfully other creators have taken up the challenge. Cian Fahey (a real yet somehow less believable name than Barry's) did a video isolating what Young & Stroud do before bad play-calling or lack of on-field talent sabotages them & what do you know, just like the preseason they are the Same QB in different circumstances, down to the footwork. Great analysis Barry. I'm still waiting for one of these guys to have the balls to do a split-screen video of Justin Fields doing everything successfully in the NFL stuff that Caleb has so far only had the opportunity to do in college. How can someone be heralded as the second coming when his entire skill set & the level of it is a duplicate of a complete bust? I can't explain the reason Fields is the target of so much unreasoning hate. He made the Bears pre-D.J. Moore the #1 offense for 3 weeks straight & they lost all 3 of those games. & not one person blamed the HC, the play-calling or anyone but Fields. *All* the Fields criticisms are 100% unwarranted & due to play-calling.

Two things. First, Tory Taylor has a chance to be the goat punter and was 100% going to be gone by the 5th. If they felt someone was going to grab him before they did I think it's worth it. Second, Malik Washington for Miami is a steal. He is top four in every positive receiver stat from this past season and leads a few of the categories. The other three guys went top 10. If he was slightly taller he would have gone top 10 easily.

something to point out is that the Bill's didn't have a 1st round grade on worthy, so its likely other teams didnt as well and he wouldve most likely still been there for the chiefs at 32. By trading back 5 spots, the Bills picked up 124 draft slots in value of later picks that jumped up while also saving $4 million in cap space by not having a 1st round pick, due to the rookie wage scale.

11:21 He was picked that high because the Broncos basically had to take a QB and with the Falcons taking Penix at 8, their only option was Nix unless they wanted to take a chance on Rattler or Travis. I think the Broncos were probably going to try and trade into the second round for Penix, but there was no way Nix was making it past the Raiders at 13. This is also the reason why anyone who tries to say Sean Payton and George Patton "mind tricked" the Vikings into trading up is a moron, the Broncos were never trading up, and their entire draft got blown up by the Falcons, so they had to take a guy who was a second round maybe late first at best instead of one of the dudes who would have probably been a Top 5 pick in any other draft.

I feel liek everyone forgets this about the bills draft trade is that the bills were never going to draft Worthy, especially since he doesn't fit the scheme. On top of this, the only other team that was looking for a wide out between the bills and chiefs picks was the 49ers, who don't really throw the ball deep. It was clear also that buffalo was gonna get out of the first round and probably didnt straight up trade with carolina because they didnt have the right value stuff for the 28th pick

The argument for taking Nix high was basically that if they didn't, the Raiders would have (I've seen some Raiders fans dispute this, but their QB tandem is AOC and Minshew, so let's not pretend it wasn't at least a possibility). Rumors seem to indicate that Nix has been Payton's guy for a while, so they really didn't want to risk not getting him.

I really don’t get the issues people have with Joe Alt at 5. Herbert’s been playing injured the past 2 seasons, it won’t matter what receiver you draft #5 if your QB is playing injured…or worse, injured and not playing and you have a Walmart employee throwing to the #5 overall pick instead. OT>WR. Especially in a deep WR class like this past one was. Joe Alt is way more likely to be a starter than whatever other tackle they would be looking at down the board.

The Falcons drafting Penix also lacks sense since if they are worried about Cousin's injury history since well Penix has had 2 ACL tears already. Why draft a QB that's not only older than most plus one with an injury history if you're worried about your starting older QB being injury prone?

The Bills traded down because they saw the Chiefs and Panthers did not want Coleman but rather Worthy and Legette. Bills get the guy they rated as WR5 of the draft and get more value. Bills did a good job. Now they gotta develop the Cookie Monster from Macy’s.

@@stevemaclean9053 I mean if they really thought Coleman was their only guy then they would've taken him at 28. It's like if I asked you "would you rather have Jamaar Chase or AJ Brown?" While us fans might pull up some really specific stats and metrics to make a final decision, I'd be willing to bet that an NFL GM who's building a team would probably just respond with "I don't care just gimme one". And I think that's the mentality in the draft a lot of the time. If there are 6 guys on the board and you'd be happy to have any of them, then why not trade back? You can gain more draft capital later on while still getting a guy you really like.

Bears took a punter in the 4th for the following reasons: 1. Trenton Gill was ASS 2. Punter can be a weapon if you have a good one, and it helps our defense immensely 3. Tory Taylor is possibly one of the greatest punters to ever come out of college, he had more yards punting than Iowa had on offense, and there were games where the Hawkeyes won only because Taylor plopped a ball on the 1 and the D got a safety, he is the real deal. A reach, but he probably wouldn't have made it very far past pick 122.
