The Chiefs had 501 yards of offense, and committed 2 turnovers (which means the score could've 73 points) and had 20 first downs. Starting Broncos QB Mickey Slaughter was 13 of 31 with 135 yards and 3 interceptions (one pick six) and a 29.0 rating. He was benched in favor of backup QB FrankTripucka, who was more successful throwing the ball to the Chiefs than the Broncos, with going 1 fo r 4 with 3 yards and 2 interceptions. The Chiefs had 5 passing TDs , four from Len Dawson (12 of 15 for 278 yards and a 158.3 rating). Thesr included an 81 yard pass from Dawson, and a 33 yard touchdown thrown by fullback Curtis McClinton, both in the Third Quarter. The Chiefs had 61 total plays, only 29 of which were pass plays.

Yea, pt differential ceases to be a statistic when you lose by more than 5 TD's... In reality it was a lost by 57 pts not 50 as one Broncos TD was a kickoff return. Still not quite 59pt diff, but that 70 looks oh so nice when everyone knows it should have been 73pts but ONLY because Josh McDaniels grew up in Denver did he not kick the FG making it 73 to 20. Now If one removes the lack luster Miami Kickoff return TD then that makes the REAL pt differential 60pots, not 57... 1pt greater than the 59-0 ass whooopin' the pats threw down. Fun Fact: The last time a team scored 70 points or more was in November 1966, when Washington downed the NY Giants 72-41 Last time a team got blown out this badly was on October 22nd, 1950 when the Los Angeles Rams blown out the Baltimore Colts 70-27. The only other time a team scored 70+, and the earliest occurrance of it, was in the 1940 NFL Championship Game, where Chicago won against an inept Washington team 73-0. I am a Carolina fan, I seen plenty of heartbreaks...but Im happy to know the Panthers arent this bad, and that things could always be worse.
