As a Sharks fan, I love this, Eiserman at 14 could be a steal put him on a wing with Smith or Celebrini in the future. Maybe a guy like Eklund or Bordeleau on the other wing and he can just get feed the puck and shot nonstop. Sharks can still get a solid defenseman prospect at 33 as long as everything goes as projected (it definitely won’t but still can get a dman at 33)

I think if sharks go forward back to back like I’m 1/2 expecting due to the way the draft seems to be falling then I think with both 2nd round picks the sharks go big defensive minded RD and LD with some offensive upside knowing 25 they can go for a top pair D in the top 10.

@@SJSharks37if not Eiserman than one of Senneke or Nygard or Greentree is almost assuredly going to be there, but by 14 most of the better D will be gone and unless Sharks feel confident Jiricek can rebound from the injury there isn’t a lot of 1st round level D left. Even Jiricek at 14 is a reach.

Silayev to Columbus doesn't make much sense to me. Everything you said about how set Montreal is at D applies to an ever greater degree to Columbus. Long term they have Jiricek, Severson and Ceulemans on the right side, Werenski and Mateychuk on the left side, and they can extend Provorov if they want another one, he's only 27. And their highest point producing forward this season was Gaudreau with 60 points, next was Marchenko with 42, and they haven't had a 30 goal scorer since 2018-19. They need talent up front like crazy. Only way I could see them picking a defenseman at #4 even if Celebrini, Lindstrom and Demidov go 1, 2, 3, is if they trade Mateychuk or Jiricek.
@bluechipprospect
@bluechipprospect 14 күн бұрын
My reasoning was that with Jenner, Fantilli, Johnson, Sillinger, Gaudreau, Laine, Marchenko, Chinakov, Brindley and Dumais they had enough talent and upcoming talent up front to solidify the defense with a one of a kind defenseman.

Columbus have a lot of good prospects, but very few great ones. Who other than Fantilli of those mentioned have the potential to be a superstar, realistically? I guess maybe Johnson? They need high-ceiling potential and high-end talent more than anything. Demidov brings that. If he is there at #4, I have a hard time seeing them pass on him. Personally, I think Columbus are going to draft whoever is left of Demidov, Levshunov and Lindstrom. I have a hard time seeing them go for Silayev when anyone of those three are available. Good video though! I totally agree with you that Chicago should be very interested in Lindstrom. Their future F core are all small guys.

Everyone in Montreal wants Lidstrom, but indeed, teams crave this kind of player, I don't think he'll be available at #5. The big question is, will Silayev be drafted top 4, if so Mtl will run on the podium for Demidov. If not, like last year, the situation gets complicated. Personally, if the best player is a defenseman, so be it, but there will be blood on Ste-Cath!

Really like your channel, keep the good work. I have Sennecke at 5 on my mock draft but feel you could get him later, in the scenario where Demidov, Levshunov and Lindstrom going 2, 3 or 4 (like 50% of my scenario). I got like a 40% chance for Lindstrom and 10% chance of Demidov or Levshunov at 5th. Basically, 50% Lindstrom (mainly), Demidov or Levshunov being bump by mainly by Silayev or Buium. If it's me i draft Lindstrom, Demidov or Levshunov (all over Sennecke) and i try to trade down if it's for Sennecke (like 7-8-9). If he is gone, Iginla is a good consolation prize. If no trade, i guess i draft Sennecke at 5th, but feels there is a lot of depth between 5 to 11, maybe even 16.

The reason I didn't go with MBN, is that at some point you have to think about team building and not just a profile you like. Really hard for me to predict where Demidov goes if chicago skips him. Montreal makes sense, but they seem to shy away from the homerun swings with their high picks. I actually have a theory that these prestige teams avoid taking future stars because they know they'll sell tickets regardless 😂 As for Chicago's pick, i agree they need size up front and demidov would be yet another sub-6' forward in their pipeline, but they also need a bit of futures on D, as well. I'm noticing two different types of mock drafts: one that begins with a run on forwards right away, another that begins with a run on D. This one is a healthy mixture

I’d honestly love to know why you think the Wild should/would be overdrafting a center to “push Rossi to the wing a little bit” because that seems very far fetched to me. Rossi is a center, always has been, and was developed as such They already have Yurov, Khusnutdinov, Heidt, Stramel, Bankier, Kumpalainen amonh others in their pool of centers. Even Ohgren has experience down the middle One of the team’s biggest issues and arguably their biggest on the ice this past season was finishing outisde of their top line. The bottom 9 was not scoring at 5v5 for large portions of this season Another major on ice issue was their Dcore sucking outside of Faber and Brodin with Spurgeon missing most of the year and forcing guys to play above their true role And of course their goaltending was suspect for a lot of this season as well. Luckily they have a consensus top goalie prospect in Jesper Wallstedt To me, that screams Eiserman or one of the top 6 D in this class if they’re on the board. Eiserman was in the board here and if the draft plays out this way, I find it very hard to believe they wouldn’t jump on Eiserman right away
@bluechipprospect
@bluechipprospect 15 күн бұрын
They picked Stramel at 21 last season. Is it really far fetched to think they would pick a highly talented center like Hage at 13 ? I don't think Hage is that much of a reach. You might not agree and that's ok. But Hage is really good I would move Rossi to the wing because the physicality of playing center is extremely demanding for smaller player. If you filter Centers by height to match Rossi's at 5'9", only Rossi and Yanni Gourde are decent centers at that size. There's a reason why. And I don't think he's bad for the job but I think he would do better on the wing. His defensive metrics aren't bad, he struggle on the dot a little but overall he's good. But again, I think you could end up with a better more productive player of he was placed on the wing. Yurov has been fantastic since he was moved to center. I think he has everything to be a good center in NHL if not a great center. I really really like him and I'm jealous. I like Heidt, had him at 21 in my final list last year and he might even be a center in the NHL but translating his style to the NHL might be an issue at his size. Khusnutdinov is 5'9". He played both wing and center. Is he really what you look for in a center in your bottom 6 ? I don't think he's a top 6 player and if he is, definitely not at center. Stramel has a long long way to go just to sniff the NHL. Is he anything more than a 13th forward or 4th line center ? I don't think so but he fit the profile quite well of a 4th line center. I have no clue what Bankier and Kumpalainen will become. Bankier was never a PPG player until his 4th season. Kumpa has a lot of skating work to do to make it past the OHL. The goal is not to downplay the Wild prospect pool, there are player I really like and others I had way higher than where they were selected. But I wouldn't call it a strong prospect pool at center. But in the end, you might be right that they would jump on Eiserman. But obviously, I thought Michael Hage was a great fit for Minnesota. I thought of Jiricek and MBN also but I thought Hage was the better player with the highest potential.

@bluechipprospect 14 күн бұрын
He's a first half of the draft talent but so are all those players if it makes any sense. There's gonna be some serious players that will be pushed to the second half of the draft and Greentree might be one of those because of his lack of speed and explosion.

As much as i like catton and think he could be a top 5 player from this draft, the devils need size and would need to take eiserman over him.
@bluechipprospect
@bluechipprospect 15 күн бұрын
One of the reasons I didn't put Eiserman to new jersey is that they drafted a similar player very high in Alexander Holtz who was a prolific goal scorer as a prospect. I don't think they want 2 of those.
@jonathancohrs
@jonathancohrs 15 күн бұрын
@@bluechipprospect I understand that reasoning, but the organization has soured on Holtz. Fitzgerald said this was a defining season for Holtz and he didn't make the next step. I expect him to be traded. The only question is if their bad experience with Holtz would make them pass on Eiserman because they're similar. Iginla or Lindstrom are the ideal choices but they will most likely be gone by 10. Catton wouldn't be bad, but they have so many undersized playmakers so it's just more of the same.

@@bluechipprospect For sure. I also think Davidsons draft strategy is pretty much best player available no matter what, and thats clearly Demidov. Taking Lindstrom would be reminiscent of them passing on Byram and Zegras in 2019 for Kirby Dach. Not that Dach or Lindstrom are/will be bad players but probably not worth top 2/3 picks when other high end game breaking talent is available

I'm also a hawks fan and haven't picked Demidov for them. Every mock draft looks different because people have different opinions. Verbeek might not think Demidov is the best player available ? 99% of mock drafts and rankings had Fantilli at 2 last year. They ended up taking Carlsson. They did not think Fantilli was the best player available like 99% of people. So whatever we think, they might think differently.
