ive just finished watching this video and the Renault Austral review video... great information and its really helping us narrow down what were after. i was wondering... are you able to do a Qashqai VS Austral comparison video? be great to know which one you think delivers that little bit extra

Thanks, Roger! That's a great idea, we've added that to our shoot list. Our video schedule is packed, so we may be a couple of months away from it going live. But rest assured we'll have a verdict - hopefully in time for your decision 🙂

@@cinch awesome stuff... I feel that the Qashqai and Austral are in direct competition with each other so a video like this would be super helpful. Unfortunately couple of months is most probably too late for us... we need to make a decision in the next few weeks. Either way will be good to see what you guys think.. We test drove the Qashqai the other week it was a smooth drive but hard to really get a handle on the car as it was only 30 minutes... today, were test driving the Austral... here we go!

@@RogerDingoDing Exciting times. You may quickly find yourself falling for the Austral like I did because of its lovely interior, even if the Nissan's electric drive is smoother, and it's ever so slightly more practical. / Sam

@@cinch the Austral (ultimate spec) was fantastic to drive, responsive with the accelerator and steering, the brake however felt a bit soft and didnt grab as i would have wanted it to.. most likely im not used to the brake in this car. (muscle memory with our current car) my wife to be wasnt so sure about the mirrors and the dark interior. Also she struggled to see the back seats while driving which could be an issue if she cant see our little one in his car seat. (shes kinda short).. That may be down to the seat setup/height adjustment not being correct for her. Suspension felt tight and stiff, could feel a lot of bumps but i personally prefer that as it gives me a sense of control .. i know what the car is doing. Neither of us had any concerns about this. the info system, display and all the bells and whistles were really nice as well. were going to test drive the Austral, Qashqai and the Kona one more time in a week or so before we make any final decisions... then it will come down to the cost and what sort of deal we can agree with the dealership.

@@RogerDingoDing Good analysis there, it sounds like a classic case of heart vs head, with the Renault being the former. If you can't get what you want from the dealership, don't forget cinch will have these cars very soon 😀

Personally, the Qashqai isn't really my cup of tea 😅. But i definitely think it will still a big-seller, especially with that sharp new styling 😄. Another great review 🙂

That 'gear' lever does move up & down for reverse & D - B selections. Reverse obviously in parking & D - B you select for driving modes. You also select eco standard & sport. I find Eco just fine, it accelerates great. Also e-Pedal for ReGen braking.

Great motobiliity car, but small boot with a big lip and then when seats folded forward the boot floor is raised reducing room again, lumpy ride and rubbish infotainment
