Fun race, super tiring on a old bike. Came out in 9th place vintage class

nice i myself have a 76 xt500C and my nephew has one too i also have a few TT500's as well love these thumpers that dude that says change to the Suzuki PE swing arm is 100% correct and the IT forks or the more popular yz490 front end swap complete with the double leading brake shoe's

Nice man ! Consider throwing on some 43mm YZ or IT forks, Suzuki PE alloy swingarm and some good rear shocks. There's also a DIY out there on how to cut the backbone and bring draw back the steering stem angle.

Sweet ride love my 76 - dont you prefer higher pipe for racing ?

Yea the stock ones are up higher like normal, but it’s a super trap exhaust system. But I’ll put a different one on so it doesn’t happen again

@@koacresrare to find but the 76 TT500 had a bash plate for the low pipe of 76, if you went higher pipe then the large bash plates are plentiful

That is a great motor and will take you up about anything, just have to ride it to the ability the bike will allow.

Video doesn’t portray it very well but it’s pretty dang steep. And very rocky. Probably the hardest part of the track, if you got stopped on the hill I’m sure it would be hard to get going again
