Why is this reporter stressing on how she’s French, before dancing around the subject of why she represented Algeria at the very end with “she has Algerian descent through her father’s family” and while that’s technically true, her father IS full Algerian so it’s weird to phrase it like “he has Algerian descent” instead of just he’s Algerian. She started with that too.

This is not right because there’s a lot of athletes who have double nationality like for example in America: the Asians, who compete in the name of United States their background are from China Korea, Japan whether from a mother or a father; we never saw or heard in the media calling those atheltes: Chinese American or Korean American or a Japanese American. That’s not fair and this is a hate/jealousy and derogatory statement and a bit of racism and it’s unnecessary to portrait her as French Algerian as an athlete, she competes for Algeria. Makes her in the circle of competition : an Algerian athlete. Period
