2024 OneNote January Weekly Plan With Me

My weekly pages are the work horse of my planner. Today I want to show you how I build my weekly layout pages from the ground up. There's tables and nesting and shading - oh my!
Hi, I’m Crystal. Welcome to a Crystal Clear Life where we talk about planning, organizing and living a more simplified life. I use Microsoft OneNote 365 to create functional and decorative planners and notebooks to help keep my life organized. OneNote is awesome because it crosses all platforms so I can use it on my desktop PC, my iPad and my Android phone. That way I am never without my planner! Hope you enjoy.

I am not selling my planners at this time. But thank you for asking. I may end up going back tot he black one (2023) for the monthly sections. 🤣 Can't go wrong with classic black. They are not diffiucult to make in PowerPoint. Let me know if you need the link for the video where I show you how.

Crystal, how would you handle creating a table listing daily things to do for each day of the week? The table is very big if I list the daily things to do in the left/first column and have columns for each day of the week.

I think it depends on if the things to do are the same for each day or not. I have created a table with each day in a column and the different things to be done under each day in the rows. I have also done a table with a column of all things to be done and the rest of the columns are days of the week. I would fill in the rows like check boxes as the items are complete. This is called the Alastair method.

Does this link/sync with Google Calendar?

It links to my Google calendar on the web. It takes me directly to the page but is not embedded. Hope this answers your question.

I was able to create my big notebook background as well as the top and side tabs (numbers) the way you did. When I set as background. Only the notebook is the background and not the top and side tabs. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I highlight the entire page ... and nothing ????

I created my background in PowerPoint, then added the links tables in OneNote so that they are active links. Is this what you did as well. To be sure that you are selecting everything, you can hold down the mouse and drag a square around everything or a shortcut which is CTRL and A to choose ALL. Let me know if this helps.

How do you use this version of one note on your phone? Im struggling that my phone is the basic one note for windows version and the same on my tablet. Both are android. I got work to download this version for my pc and its so much better. Thanks

I got my OneNote for Android and my OneNote for my iPad from the Play Store and the Apple Store. It automatically updates with new information as Microsoft ads features to the phone app. It is so sophisticated now that it almost functions as well as the desktop just on a much smaller screen.

@@Thorn_n_thistle_reads you may want to update it. I think there is only 1 app in the play store. They continue to add new features.
