I predicted that Oppy would sweep it, and it did. Hard to compete with a garganuan picture like this. That said, Poor Things has become something of an obsession with me. It's just so freaking delightful.

yes, it was hard to stop the Oppy momentum. But I couldn't complain as I felt the film was worthy of all those wins. But yes Poor Things was a film I surprisingly really liked as well! - Alex

Good episode! Killers was my fav for best picture, but Oppenheimer was of course, very worthy. I wish A Thousand and One had gotten some award attention this year (beyond Sundance).

Killers of the Follower Moon was just fantastic (Karan had it as his #1 film of 2023), but we were spoiled last year with so many amazing films it was hard to be disappointed with Oppenheimer's win. I haven't seen "A Thousand and One" but have heard it's great, so will be sure to check it out. thanks for listening! - Alex
