You should reduce your profit by your expenses then you pay tax on that. Laptop, gas, hotels, Zion cases, ALL TAX WRITE OFFS = $18k $25k - $18k expenses = $7k in net income. You pay taxes on the $7k you netted Even if you don’t have an llc or registered business then you’re self employed. You can still write off all of those expenses.

Streaming is definitely the way to go . The margins are too thin and when you add up the cost of travel , hotel ect to get to these shows the math doesn’t add up . IMO streaming is the future as long as you can maintain a sizable amount of followers on social media

So this isn't a question as a vendor but more from the consuming side of the table. Are we really just screwed when it comes to getting value for our stuff? Ive had multiple people nitpick condition and lowball. Vendors have all the power it seems. They hoard and buy out all the smaller guys. How should we make this more of a fun even sided hobby?

Conditioning is a very hard topic in the hobby. I typically stay with anything I can that’s graded. Singles are mainly for stream and as long as theirs no creases or huge white marks I say it’s NM. Keeps it easy and fun💪 Also vendors do have a little help being on that side of the table (which includes myself when vending) however, paying for tables and etc does come with a cost. So theirs definitely a need to make a little money for vendors which is a healthy thing!💪💪
