As a VGC player, this is GAME CHANGING! I started out last year (Senior) and I couldn't qualify. Now I dont have to do a uphill battle, I'm aiming for a Tier 1 or Tier 2

here in the Philippines, I recently found out that no matter how many league cups you win, you still have to get at least top 2 in nationals to even qualify for worlds, its super demotivating playing here and we dont even get cash prizes here either, theres realistically only one real chance to get to worlds and only 1 person is given free travel, makes me not wanna continue the game, just gonna show up to major events from now on lmao

I hope they bump the CP requirements down a bit in EU. Double last year is gonna be tough.

Its really hard. Cause now u have to move to more regionals and make good standings to have at least a chance for the worlds. And the thing ist the game ist really nice afforderable, but to travel to diffenrent countries for tournaments, just dont work if u arent rich…sadly…

@@RahulReddy yes! I still get confused of what the difference is between play! Points & just regular points. Also I struggled to find where exactly go check out my points. Deck structures like I didn’t know what the limit was of a certain trainer, rotation, & that you could use older cards if they were reprinted! All these I had to learn by going to my local league and just asking questions. Also I don’t see any video on KZbin that helps with this.

The kicker changes are really nice. I only started playing in January and still would have had +65 points if these new regional/league cup kicker changes were in effect. Definitely makes the 600 cp for US/Canada much more attainable than it seems at first glance

Will be going to Stuttgart, Dortmund, Utrecht and maybe even Gdansk. After those, I will have to see how realistic the invite is and if I can do EUIC... 500 with Locals BFL on 8 would have been more realistic for me but I have done it this year so why not next year as well, huh?

They just announced that next years championships will be in my state. This is probably a stupid question but is there a way for people to attend who don't compete or is it only for people who play?

Thank you for all the info!! I just got into the competitive scene recently and want to go to or at least get an invite to Honolulu next august. I would only be able to make it to 2 regionals this year Portland and LA! Is Regionals something that’s just a walk in? Or do I need to sign up and have prerequisites/registration for?
@RahulReddy

For each regionals registration typically goes up a few weeks in advance This video should help you through the process: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnu9ZKWAh7N7fs0 If you have any questions about it please let me know and Ill do my best to help out!

Just sucks lowering the number of cups you can get points from. It's so expensive to travel to regionals. They're making it more pay to win then ever
@Riot_TownTCG
@Riot_TownTCG Жыл бұрын
I feel like if they wanted to make it pay to win then they wouldnt have gotten rid of the day 2 world invite structure
@Pexodus11
@Pexodus11 Жыл бұрын
@@Riot_TownTCG it's actually hard to get a day 2 invite tho, going to all the regionals and getting 128 or 256 at them isn't difficult. Basically just show up and play all the rounds. Just unfortunate for people that can only afford 1 or 2 regionals. I could be wrong that's just what it seems like to me

I used to play competitively back in the DCI days (#7 in the world! #shamelessplug) and trying to roll back into competitive gameplay some 20 years later, so actually getting this info directly makes it so much easier. Couldn't qualify for Worlds this year but aiming for next! (Still gonna be in Yokohoma, gotta get me some exclusive swag if I can somehow make my way into the Pokemon Center!)

I just started Pokemon TCG last week (coming from Yugioh MTG and CFV). I was wanting to know how I can get more game experience outside of locals and PTCG Live (PTCG Live ladder has poor game quality).

Welcome over! Unfortunately with Live being butt its hard to get practice besides going in person and just playing some locals and tournaments themselves. I do think that Live is decent at learning how your deck functions but nothing beyond that
