That is a good way of looking at it. When energy prices go up, everything else will rise. Get oil back down to $60 a barrel, drill baby, drill!

The biggest reason gas prices went up is there was a production war between Russia and the Saudi's that the President of the United States in the summer of 2020 pushed hard to get them to end it......

I like how you mention the thing that happened in 2020 but do not mention the guy who was supposed to handle that for the US..... just did not like at all..... And since the US is the leader of the free world it means all the world went down the tubes thanks to our barely there supply chain. Now we also have capitalism and one party who hates making laws to keep it in check.... So when the CEOs realized in 2020 they could skyrocket prices they did. You can't just pretend covid didn't happen when looking at the economy. You can also do another numbers game where you look at the numbers in the rest of the world compared to the US and see we are doing significantly better at recovering than they are. So if you want someone in a position of power that "understanda business" you mean not Trump since he has so many failures and his only real success was being born his father's son?

Businesses often pop and flop. Regardless of the reason (or excuses) for the flop, it takes someone with business sense to spark recovery.

@@IrixGuy Well for the person we are talking about it took daddy's money and name...... This guy would not be fit to be a shift manager at a fast food restaurant if not for his daddy bailing him out and giving him his fortune. I mean he failed at a casino..... with his massive brand recognition at the time. If NOTHING else convinces you, that should.... Oh and that was even with daddy trying to bail him out illegally by coming in getting chips then never cashing them in to give him interest free loans that also made it look like it was doing better than it was, the again FAILING CASINO....

I am a bit more concerned about US civics than finances right now. Did you take civics in high school? Was it even offered? That's where you learn about things like checks and balances and the division of power among the various branches of the US government. It is a fragile system and it is amazing that it has lasted nearly 250 years. What I saw in that debate is that one candidate wants to upset the balance of power by putting far too much of it into the executive branch. That carries a great deal of risk. One risk is that what if the other party wins? What will they do with that power? As far as business acumen goes, all you have to do is look at the kind of people a business owner hires. Of the 44 cabinet level officials contacted, only 4 support Trump for president.

@@IrixGuy I would like Regan himself back. He would have some things to say, that's for certain.
