Well it's an SUV. I don't buy an SUV for low consumption. Even Full Hybrid ones need to much power. I just bought the new Clio 5 full Hybrid. 1,200kg and 3,5-4,5l/100KM consumption overall seems like the better deal for me.

I bought this car and after a week and almost 500 km I have average consumption 5,8 l/100 km. It should be lower after 1000-2000 km. Joe is a perfect example how not to drive hybrid (and probably petrol also) cars.

Nice car, but here in France a lot of people complains about mechanic and electronic failures. It never outsold the Peugeot 3008 (30 745 units were sold for the 3008 and 29 895 unit for the Austral in France in 2023) And also the Austral never made to the top 20 best selling cars in Europe, so yes it's a failure

Look at the numbers: 30 745 for the 3008 and 29895 for the Austral for 2023, and when the new 3008 then the gap will be more important. And about the puretech, yes it’s an issue but that never stopped Peugeot to sell their car because Franch people usually don’t care about alll those mechanics stuff, they prioritise design and apparent quality over everything else and Peugeot understood that @@Monsieur-X649

3008 sales figure: 30k, austral sales figure: 29k in 2023, and it's not even the new 3008 so yeah, the Austral is a failure. Also, french people usually do not care about mechanical stuff when they buy a car, all they care about is design and apparent quality and that's what Peugeot is giving, that's why Peugeot is sucessful despite the reputation of the puretech engine, just look at the sales figure in february, the peugeot 208 is the best selling car despite the fact that it has the puretech engine.@@Monsieur-X649

This is including city driving (also on short distances ~2-5 km), some suburban and highway trips. This is a perfect example how not to drive hybrid cars (and probably others also). Look at power gauge. Acceleration and braking, kicking pedals. This is absolutely not smooth driving style.
