Lack of tubeless tyres in Him450 is a deal breaker of sorts....Suz V Strom is a more intelligent option for long dist travellers. Also, I read somewhere that a lower seat height option is there on V Strom. Any comments?

You can get a seat as an accessory for lower seat height of 810mm

My suggestion is dont go for lower seat option, it wont make that difference. Learn to ride a higher bike. It is a skill. It is worth the comfort. The lower seat is not comfortable.

Superb comparison, The high price and weight of Himalayan 450 is a big drawback and everyone cannot afford to have 2 bikes. VStrom is the way to go, it has already proven its engine. The lightweight is a boon in the city and the cruising speed of 110-120 kmph with enough power to overtake and easy luggage carrying capacity, simply makes the VStrom SX, a better all rounder ADV. And it is good off road as well, though here in India many think it cannot go off road, overseas many owners say that the VStrom feels closer to a dirt bike and it is also winning trophies in many off road events.

If you want to go to laddaks most difficult terrain of higest road and ur life depended on it. No way more chosing himalayan as it is not as reliable as vstorm. And i can reach any destination in india on a vstorm without difficulty and reliably.
