That Chevy 3500 HD is a beast. I looked at the Chevy 2500 equipped somewhat like this truck. I decided to splash the cash and bought the 3500 HD. I love it. Used for hauling a large horse trailer in the mountains. Even with four horses in the trailer it just eats up the hills with no problem. Very pleased with the fit and finish, etc.

Heads up in the doorway of chevy trucks is a sticker that goes over the payload, towing capability and gross combined weight rating. Going over that or showing it on camera for us to pause and read it would be appreciated

That’s a great suggestion! I’ve on occasion included that and window stickers when I can get a good view or electronic version, and when I of course remember to. I’m going to do better to include those going forward. Thanks for watching! 🙂

Got an LTZ on order. Should have it in a couple/few months. I can't wait. Going to haul my dogs and motorcycle around and eventually a travel trailer too. Most expensive vehicle I've ever bought, but plan on getting a ton of use out of it.

Great Review ! Consumer Reports says that Chevy / GMC pickups have now Fallen to the LEAST RELIABLE pickup on the market. That’s sad because Ram is owned and manufactured by FIAT

That’s really sad. Especially the Fiat part. I will say that Ram Rebel I drove was super nice. But regardless of what CR have found in their testing, I still like Chevy trucks and their LS/LT V8’s haha. 😅🙂

Yes they did... for 1500 trucks. In case you missed some basic thing....this video and truck is a 3500, which is same as 2500, but entirely different than 1500. Not sure what I'm talking about then you don't know much about pickup trucks.

Consumer reports stated the 1/2 ton (1500) trucks are not reliable (including ford BTW 150 which they made a big article about how to avoid it at all costs). This video is about the 2500/3500 (3/4 or 1 ton) HD truck, which is completely different aide from some shared plastic pieces inside (maybe). The 1500 is light duty made to pull 7-8k, but the 2500 will pull 15-16k...these are 'safe numbers' for the truck at 80% capacity...they are actually rated higher...a 3500 dually could pull 25-30K, which is the same as 2500, but with stiffer rear suspension, chassis, beefer tires, axles, and 4 wheels in the back. Compared to the 1500, the 2500 is literally at least twice the truck on all fronts (including engine and transmission, both entirely different). The GM HDs are rated the most reliable truck in the HD segment and designed for work. In comparison, 1500's are not really trucks but SUVs with an open back.

Forgot to add if you are in your bed a lot with the trailer attached. Get the tailgate that is the two-piece barn door type. The regular tailgate will not clear my trailer. Don't know about other trailers. Just a heads up for trailer users.

The center console is available in the LT trim on Chevy. On the GMC it is not available in the SLE trim..only SLT and up. So if you want a low trim level to keep cost down but still want a center console, you have to go Chevy.
