From actually being trackside at Singapore (I am so lucky to get to go there, it was my first GP irl as well) my moment of the race were Oscars two overtakes on the Mercs. McLaren (and especially Oscar) had SO many fans in Singapore (especially aussies) and the ROAR that spread all along the track in those moments was wonderful. We didn´t have a screen where we stood, but there was no doubting what happened. The only thing louder was Lando coming out of the first corner in the lead :) It´s also funny about Landos brush with the wall. As I said we had no screen so we actually didn´t know that happened. We only saw from our own timings that he suddently lost 4 seconds on one of his lap, where all the others where basically on autopilot witihin a tenth of each other. We figured he made a misstake, didn´t expect it to be that dramatic! Wonderful week in Singapore, would love to go again.

As someone who started watching in 2021 I think other people that started watching that season as well have to high of expectations and think every race should be a 2021 Monza, 2021 Brazil, or 2021 Abu Dhabi situation just to name a few. But I’m not one of them. Last season I taped over max and still enjoyed it who was going to be P2 and P3. This season has been amazing because so many different outcomes can happen. Never know who’s going to win. Even if my favorite driver doesn’t win I enjoy the race

@@vDomMusic then every bottom 5 team would just go for fastest lap. youd see zhou gyanyu in 20th scoring the fastest lap every race after pitting on the last lap. he'd score 24 pts throughout the season, by finishing last. if this was to be implemented, they should adjust the points system to award points for all positions, which i think they should do that regardless honestly. then they could have fastest lap points for everyone.

The problem is that FIA and Liberty have heralded Singapore as the exemplary event for F1. However, it's really not an exemplary event because it's a great showcase of the sport, but because it's a big cash cow. In several years, the Singapore weekend has been a music festival with 20 or so cars running around in the background, and only half or so of the attendees actually care about those cars.

I don’t feel bad for Danny at all, he has had plenty of chances now to prove himself. Leaving red bull was the worst career move in hindsight, yes he would have ended up second driver to Max but they were the best pairing red bull ever had. Perez has lost red bull the constructors this year.

Considering he made a hell of a lot more money at Renault and Mclaren than he ever would have at Red Bull it can't really be considered a bad career move.

He was given a way back from the dead. He didn't live up to the opportunity, in fact he was summarily outdone by Tsunoda so he frankly was kept in the seat for as long as it was possible. With Perez shaky and Verstappen being a flight risk post 25, Horner needs to make a move. Ric knows this too.
