I could see adding a thin metal plate to the underside of the right saddle bag to keep the heat down on the bag and to help with carbon from getting baked into the underside of the bag. Like the looks of the exhaust. I am not sure how I would like the additional 1” height. I like to be more flat footed. Being 5’10” I think i would lose that. Great video. Been watching them all. Hey, great and very informative video. I have a 24’ Street Glide also. I am also trying to diagnose the slight wobble when you reach higher speeds. Do you have any suggestions on the cause and possible remedy ?
@RobertPerez0015 ай бұрын
If you made an abs switch, I would purchase the kit. Also I know on the road glides there is a cut out so to speak that NVS audio uses for a bass knob. If you could make that abs disable look factory i would be all in.
@Clutch_Kick1875 ай бұрын
Its really easy to do.. just unplugging the abs on either end will shut off the abs on both ends, also kills the traction control, the top speed limiter, and unfortunately the speedometer, which is the only downfall.. the tach still works though, and so does everything else.. My buddy with a 24 RG was hitting limiter at the drag strip with us a few weeks ago, and we unplugged his abs module and found all this out.. He has since put his on a rocker switch on the dash to do exactly what you were saying.. On & Off, on when you want.. He said he leaves it off all the time now, and just has a speedo app on his phone that is attached to the bars..
@ericnay77335 ай бұрын
Would this work on a 22 rg you think? Mine came with rdrs and I didn’t want any of it. But I bought it anyway so I didn’t have to wait for a different bike to get shipped in.

Run a brake line from the rear master directly to the rear caliper, leave the abs unit plugged in, leave the wheel speed sensors in place and plugged in, cap off the rear abs circuit in the hydrologic unit On the new rear brake line fit a inline brake switch or use a banjo bolt style brake switch Now you will have front abs only, no dtc codes or a constant abs light on The abs unit does what it thinks it needs to do to correct wheel speed, but its not hydrologically connected This works for any factory abs bike
@kruesioriginals5 ай бұрын
Or whenever I felt like it, I could just reach down and unplug the front ABS sensor that’s sitting right in front of the gas tank. I can do it while I’m riding. It’s so easy to get to.

It's always better safe than sorry but you almost certainly would never harm a brake line by hanging a caliper from it unless the brake line was already damaged. Brake lines are designed to handle thousands of pounds of internal pressure. Hanging 5 lb of caliper off of it for a couple hours almost certainly is not going to cause a problem.

@DoRC5 ай бұрын
@@kruesioriginals maybe so though I'll tell you I've been a professional mechanic for over 20 years and I've probably done it a thousand times and never have a problem. If a brake line looks sketchy then I wouldn't do it but other than that I really don't think it's an issue. If a brake line looks sketchy it should be replaced anyway. The brake lines are hydraulic hoses and hydraulic hoses are incredibly strong. You could probably hang the entire bike off of one of those lines without damaging it.
