Pretty sure it stands for "Tuned by STI", not "Tuned by Subaru" lol.

@@jubbalandcars Yeh, in retrospect, it's more fitting to be "Tuned by Subaru", considering the engine is the same. That being said, I'm still buying one... cuz brembos.

I think its a good value. Especially considering you're likely to get some of that money back on resale.

Most aftermarket brake kits that are as good or better for the front and rear are pretty pricey. Looks like $2500 or so just for the front. Then you have to worry about the balance of the brakes and if everything is matched well. Kind of nice just to have good brakes from the factory. The dampers I hear are not that great really so it doesnt matter much to me as I just want the Brembos. If the TS added a nicer differential or a little more power that would be a really nice package. At least give it an exhaust that has a bit more of a bark to it and the rear spoiler that the 86 has.

is there a delay on the gear indicator in the gauge cluster?

Would be a much better value proposition if it came with STi flexible draw stiffners on front and back... this seems just like a performance package offered on the 1st gen BRZ (which I have). The tS model came with bunch of more stuff than this, but the later tS trim was just the performance package included as standard with additional badging.

This is more akin to the performance pack cars from the previous gen than it is the tS.. at least that got a cool wing (if you're into that)

The Limited has come up in price to like 33.5, these are 36k. It's a 2.6k upgrade, not 5k. A Big Brake Kit on a limited is going to run you close to $2500 alone. You're essentially getting free dampers, and some STi touches. On top of retaining warranty, and not losing money on aftermarket parts, the tS will likely depreciate a little less than the other trims. You'll get your value up front and if you decide to go elsewhere later. Just traded my '22 AT Supra in for a tS though so I might be biased.

we are ready for a new engine on this platform. New toyota 4 cylinder or 3 cylinder, don't care.

Honestly Toyota should make their own 86 with an inline 4 cylinder Toyota motor and end their partnership with Subaru. They got screwed with the gr86 RTV issue since the Toyota technicians don’t really know their way around a boxer engine. Same thing happened in 2013 with the valve spring issues. Plus every one always complain that the 86 is slow… well it’s that FA boxer.
