That’s not even accounting for all the added dealer BS. You’re better off getting a V6 4x4 S Frontier for less which can tow almost 2x as much as this. I’ll take a proven N.A. v6 before turbo 4’s.

I have a 2013 SR5 Xtra Cab 2x4 that’s been great. I’ve been looking at the 2023 SR Xtra Cab 4x4s in my area. A few dealers are selling the 2023 models for $29,000 plus tax. Still expensive but not sure if the 2024 models are worth the extra $5,000.

I really like this extra cab truck, if everything is reliable on these over next few years I can see me keeping my 2023 Tacoma off road double cab that’s loaded, and buying this truck in 4x4 bare bones, then buying good AT tires like Goodyear duratrac tires and removing the chin spoiler and it being a perfect truck. I love the lockable storage in the back, I would love that for hunting, and when going on hiking trips in the mountains.

You’d be better off buying a 22-23 and save the money for the mods.
perfect in every way for what I need. The more electronics on a vehicle, the more room for failures. Only the price seems prohibitive. But wow, yeah, the configuration is perfect (single older guy who only makes 1-2 cross country drives a year). It might better as a lease option, dunno for sure. Keep singin' those tunes Jeff!

I was waiting and looking forward to the all new Tacoma then to my surprise and I’m sure to many others, No rear access doors. I think Toyota made a really big mistake deleting them. If you have a heavy toolbox in the back let’s see how easy it will be trying to get it out from the cheap looking back area. Sure, you could move the seat forward but it was easier with the access doors. I can only imagine who came up with the decision to delete the rear access doors. Some knucklehead I’m sure. I’m glad Nissan still offers the King Cab. So I’ll pass on this new Tacoma pickup truck.

@user-rx4yb1db4v2 ай бұрын
The suicide doors and the 5 speed manual plus a 6 foot bed sold me on my 2017 it's the perfect p/u for the city I've had full size trucks and that extra length required at least two and a half car space to get a truck that size in eventually you will be able to do it if you can find a big enough opening but you have to be quick or the traffic will start backing up behind you and city drivers don't have alot of patience another thing is the streets are narrow and some are still two way and I've seen some wild fights over spaces in the winter.

I appreciate the fact that Toyota keeps an "open" concept to the engine bay. Everything is easy to access for maintenance and replacement. (battery, fluids etc..) Most manufacturers cover everything with plastic and shove stuff into fenderwells.

After sales tax and hidden fees your looking at around $41,000 for a bottom level Tacoma with steel wheels, automatic transmission, and cloth seats, hardly affordable, their crazy!!! Back in 1993 I bought an Xtra cab Toyota pickup with V6 and manual transmission for $16,000, and in 2002 I bought a Tacoma with a V6, manual transmission, and aluminum factory wheels for $24,000. And right now where I live somebody is selling a white 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro, fully loaded with V6, manual transmission, black leather interior, black aluminum TRD wheels, with 278 HP and 54,000 miles for $31,000.Why would anyone buy that bottom level one for $10,000 more when you could have that TRD Pro. Which one would you rather have?

Really don't understand the packaging here...2 seats and no rear doors for what reason exactly? No manual on Xtra cabs makes no sense either, the type of person who would want one of these, would definitely want a manual. I think 35k for this is pretty damn steep just like the rest of the 2024 lineup, they are banking on customer loyalty but idk I think this generation will be a case study in how to lose market share. The Tacoma costs more than any other midsize truck, is worse on fuel, down on power and essentially the same price as a fullsize truck
