I test drove this car yesterday. I’m coming from a BMW M135i. After test driving the Model Y, which I disliked due to the sloppy body roll, I hoped into the Model 3 and was sold. The only issue is I need AWD for a long muddy dirt road drive every 6-8 weeks so not sure how that will handle especially understeer. I’ll have to try to get access to a long range to check that out. Thanks for the review.

how does driving feel compared to the Y? Our version of the Y has the stalks (dont care either way) but also the premium sound system, and the space. New 3 space is likely sufficient for our family of 4 that does not do camping road trips, never had issues with space for hols in a decent sized sedan. Still curious about quietness and softer ride in highland 3 compared to 2024 version of the Y. Great review though.

At least with the redesigned taillights they have incorporated a proper orange indicator. The old Model 3 (and Y) taillights are so obviously designed for the North American market and had to have the orange indicators shoehorned in. It looks better than my 2022 Model 3 but isn’t enough of an upgrade for me, particularly with what has been removed (to save manufacturing cost), for me to shell out the difference.

The BIGGEST ISSUES the Tesla Model 3 has had for ages, which STILL exist: * Turn indicators that turn off whenever they feel like it - such as when you approach the very turn you are indicating for - or don't turn off at all. * The worst "automatic" wipers of any car with that feature. Including wiping when the sun hits the windscreen at a particular angle. * When playing audio from USB and the car de-powers, it will have completely forgotten the USB source when the car re-powers and you'll need to reselect the USB and reselect an audio track. You'll remember you need to go through all that again just as you're reversing out of driveway, only you can't change audio with the car in reverse. A cheap Alpine headunit from the 90's is better than Tesla's rubbish audio system.
