Yeah its a little annoying watching all these people go ga ga over this thing because its new. The model S been doing 10sec quarter miles without Ludacris mode for the 2021+. I know the MS plaid gets all the attention but do people forget that the MS long range is doing 1/4 mile in less than 11sec all the time

@@SukhoiSu-35 Im gonna say no thats not why the model 3 is more popular. The Model 3 is more popular because it costs wayyyyyy less. The S is a better looking car . The model 3 is more affordable. Im not saying repairs on the model S are not expensive…but the reason why the Model 3 is more popular is not the insurance reason. And “a lot” is not a numeric value…so to me they dont cost a lot . $2400 a year is not a lot to me for $500/$500 coverage and $1000 deductible. Given the vehicle cost.

A comparably equipped S costs $32K (Plus $2K tax) more than the M3P. Both cars are desirable, whether or not the S is worth the extra $ is a personal decision.

Love to hear from real owners, and particularly real “car people”. How the car behaves in a real world setting with the suspension and seat improvements is great to hear. I placed my red/black order on hold but think I’m gonna just take it off hold and take delivery.

Good to know that Sport mode relaxes traction control a bit. I wonder how much it’s limiting power on initial launch. Also, from dragy results others have posted it almost looks like there’s a 1.0 G limit on the power. Thanks for the review! Mine should arrive June 19-30!

What my father told me was to buy the one that would suit your lifestyle. Get a Y if you are like a camper, hiker, climber, etc. The Y would be great to help haul a lot of gear for your hobbies. Get the 3 if your not gonna haul a lot of stuff. For me it is basically a daily driver from work to home. I don't have those hobbies where i gotta carry a lot of luggage, so I went with the model 3 Performance instead of waiting for the model y Juniper. If I got a tow that I can buy a third Market Towing adapter by stealth hitches, and i don't have anything that needs to be towed so i really won't be buy the towing adapter anytime soon.

You should consider installing the retrofit oem stalks. I think it will make it the perfect car well less the lack of a front HUD

After 3 years now, the lack of the HUD isn't really an issue. The blinkers will take some time for sure. Will be hard to learn it one way, then go back to stalk if I drive my wife's car for example.

To help @LucasBassFishing in deciding on a Y or 3, I tried to include a video link to clearly show how my stock 2024 MYP achieved speed of 36mph all in entering, during and exiting a sharp left turn, followed by an immediate curve to the right, when urgently clearing an intersection safely under an unexpected yellow. Since your KZbin video settings prevent the inclusion of web-links in our comments, you'll have to take my words for it.. your stock 2024 M3P was doing a sharp right (just before your first 0-60 attempt) at quite a bit lower speeds (entering, during and exiting) comparing to the respective speeds achieved by my stock 2024 MYP, all unplanned! 2024 MYP has it all.. down to the turn-signal stalk, my friend.

Has it all... Except that it's slower than my previous Model 3 Long Range with the acceleration boost. MYP runs 12 flat at 113ish. My last LR ran 11.8@116 This new M3P runs 10.9 @ 124 They aren't the same

Ummm you do know that the Model S Long range been a 10 second car wayyyyy b4 this car came out. I mean I like new stuff also…but this car is just a tiny bit quicker than the Model S. And the model S looks better in my opinion , more cargo space and air suspension. So no this isnt the only 10sec car..

I currently have a maxima that is about to die and have an nd2 for a weekend/canyon cruiser. Looking at a M3P as daily commuter. Unfortunately to get the rebate today you have to get gray only.

Yeah it's unfortunate, but a consequence of its popularity. Launch week it was 52990 making all the colors apply. Then it went to 53990 meaning all the $1000 colors applied. Only red didn't. Now it's 54990 meaning just the gray works. I originally wanted gray, but when they changed the default to stealth gray, I didn't want the "default" color so I went with red.

Can you please give me some good insight on the seats ? I changed order from lr to performance . I’m so afraid now the seats will be cramped or stiff and cause pain after a few hours if you take a longer trip. My wife also has a bit of a bad back .

Height and weight? I'm 5-9 195lbs and they fit me perfectly. My friend is 300lbs and he said they were still comfortable. They are really only bolstered on the top, the bottom is nice and wide.

Too soon to really tell. But my best guess is you'd see 25-40 less real world Miles than the LR. If you put the eco friendly "prius tires" as I call them on the M3P, you'd get most of that back

The car and batteries are made here in the US. Same with the majority of the components. Significantly less so than anything from the Big Three competitors here in the US.
