Nice review Gabby!! Good catch on the "no place to put the table legs." I recently saw a review of a different model of this with twin beds in the rear. Glad to see this one with the bigger bed.

Excellent! I like the dove colors, love the big windows in bedroom & bath area, love the door (and full-length mirror!) that closes off bath area so you have a large bathroom rather than two separate areas. Love that both the toilet and the shower both have skylights. Wish the microwave combo was at shoulder or counter level. Is older folks have some difficulty bending down! Only minuses for me are the step-downs from bed & cab. So easy for older folks to forget about that on the way to bathroom or kitchen!

Gabby's walkthrough was great. Thor's build quality...not so much. 14:49 - What's even more disturbing than some assembly worker forgetting to install these table mounts is the fact that no QC process caught it. Gabby caught this mistake, what else did they 'forget' to do during manufacturing? Tighten a water line? Check the wiring? Seal a seam? For too many years US RV manufacturers have gotten away with leaving final QC to customers, only to give them a run around when their shoddy workmanship is discovered. Now RV dealers are having buyers sign docs at purchase absolving the dealer of any responsibility. Nope. "Give us your money and we'll make it right. Trust us." No thanks. Fix it before you sell it. Then stand behind it or keep it.

If the quality was up to par, these units would be awesome. We had a Thor Vegas 24.1. Perfect size, great to drive (ton of power for that sized unit), but the workmanship was so shoddy. We got rid of it after a year and upgraded to a Holiday Rambler. The design of this Axis is very nice, especially the bathroom.
@DearFutureWifey3 ай бұрын
What year was it? Can you please explain what you mean by "shoddy?" I'm considering purchasing one of these in a week.
@kjFL13 ай бұрын
@@DearFutureWifey Congrats on your pending purchase! I loved the compactness and drivability of the 24.1. It was a brand new 2021. The roof leaked in the bedroom. The seals were subpar in the bathroom around the fan, causing another leak. Two of the kitchen drawers would not close properly, resulting in both opening whenever we drove the unit (we had to zip tie them until we could get to the dealer to have the hardware replaced). The black tank flush valve was broken and liquid was released inside the unit the very first time we tried to use it. Thank goodness one of us was inside to see this happening and we shut it off right away. The propane tank was inoperable - had to have that repaired. Unfortunately these and other issues are not rare occurrences for some units, doesn’t matter who the manufacturer is, that we’re “Covid-built”. We were able to fix some of the issues ourselves (roof leak, for example), but the dealer had to fix the others. Just make sure you do a very thorough inspection of every single thing in your unit before you buy. Don’t sign on the dotted line before they are fixed.

I was looking at the 26.2 model of the Axis but after watching 2 videos and noticing the deplorable build quality on both, I think I’ll look at another brand. 1) Missing table mounts.- Demonstrates that Thor has no QC department. Completely unacceptable. 2) The griddle is nice but most would much prefer a big open pass thru bay there for storage, if they want a griddle they’ll buy one. 3) Add another foot and give me theatre seats all day long over the love seat. Slide is completely unnecessary in this model. 4) That was a huge counter. I’m thinking bigger shower… Who designs these things? They obviously aren’t paid very well.
