The 1st Gen had major rust issues and the 2nd Gen has head gasket issues. The early 4th Gens had issues. The 2.4t is a very reliable engine. The 8 speed auto has very few issues and they were fixed.

@@user-tb7rn1il3q You must not live in the salt belt. Any vehicle not treated will have rust issues eventually. As for the engine, yeah the 3VZ had problems, but I shouldn't need to explain how legendary the 22r and 22re are. So checkmate.

By far, this is the best vehicle you can buy in 2024. Bulletproof 1GRFE engine and bulletproof transmission.

Yea I don't know of any other vehicles to get in 2024. There isn't any model that has been out for almost 15 years

I bought a 95 4Runner back in the day. Only kept it for 6 months. Realized a PU (T-100) fit my needs better. I’m wanting to get a 4Runner before they go to the 4cyl turbo for 2025 model yr. But dang they cost a chunk of change. Once you get the first scratch or door ding, you don’t worry about it as much… just saying

So what are you suggesting for the initial break in oil change? Just bought a 2024 brand new... 80 miles on it at the moment.
@theoffroadingmechanicАй бұрын
I just do it at around 1600kms or 1000miles. It's where you see the most material. I've seen the bottom of the filter cap where customers do their first oil change at 8k kms and it looks like forbidden glitter at the bottom. There is a break in section in the owners manual list things not to do for the first 1000miles.

It's a pretty cool system until they leak. But the right front and left rear shocks are connected and the left and and right rear are connected and in between there is a piston. It just helps with body roll and stability when driving. If you look it up I think there are some pretty good videos explaining how it works.
