ive had my cross hybrid for a month now and it fits me just right being a 74 year old widower.love the ride and how agile it is plus the great fuel economy.

Much rather have the Corolla Cross Hybrid over the Rav4 because it's $7,000 cheaper and I like the slightly smaller easier to park Cross. Plus it has the 5th generation hybrid and is not due for new styling.

Wish you had talked about the level of noise that you noticed from either or both the road or wind. I had hoped you'd also do a freeway test that involved more acceleration.

Have same unit SE w/sunroof pkg trim April. As a senior 64, the height is perfect for egress. I've been developing my hyper miling technique. Currently am at 85+ MPG 70% EV. 0 EV issues. Price of gas NW OryGONE gets 3.8¢/mi. Not bad got an AWD SUV! Love it.

I sat inside a Corolla Cross Hybrid SE at the dealership, but not as comfortable as I would expect. I will try to find a XSE to test drive (or sit inside) to see if the leather seats feel differently. I'm also on the fence with the 8" screen as that's tiny. Looking at a 2024 Kona Limited AWD and the included features blow away Toyota. Finally, the hybrid version of this "Prius SUV" does NOT have a spare tire, which could be problematic if you're out and about in a rural area.

To be fair to Toyota, a lack of spare tire isn't as much a deal breaker as the interior layout. Until I actually test drive an XSE, won't know how I'll feel about that interior. For me, it's comparing a hybrid with 42 mpg versus a 2024/25 Kona Limited AWD with more features for the money, including a spare tire, heated AND COOLED seats, heated steering wheel, and surround cameras and side view cameras for lane changing. Eventually, it may all come down to OTD (Out the Door) price for me!!

I've had a couple Prius... They are good, but I live in the hills with a steep road that gets snow once in awhile. I've been looking at the Rav4, and the Sportage, and honestly, I like that better,,, BUT, the MPG for the Cross is better for the same cost as the Kia... Also, it should be noted that the RAV4 is great, but for me, it's a bit out of my budget. So I'm looking at the Cross as Im retired military, and I really don't need a huge amount of room, but I need the ground clearance and ability to deal with snow etc... So I'm taking in the Cross as it seems to be a very nice partition between the Prius, and the Rav4.

i cant decide between Prius LE AWD or the Corolla Cross Hybrid. Prius AWD is $1k more, but the MPG is really nice. I don't get why Corolla Cross Hybrid's freeway MPG is so low. Prius' highway MPG is actually higher than its city MPG for the AWD trim.

The Prius is a smaller car. Of course it's going to get better gas mileage.

Thank you for the wonderful content and in depth analysis. What would be your choice between Corolla Cross Hybrid 2025 vs Rav4 Hybrid 2025? Considering Corolla Cross Hybrid may get mid cycle refresh in 2025 and Rav4 seems outdated and may not get next generation model until 2026?

I still question hybrids but toyota make it fun. Drove the rental van to a trade show. It said we used 10% of a tank on a drive from vt to maine and back. We got ALOT of free miles out of it.

My brother had the current rav 4 regular gas version. I sat in it and it felt too big for my taste lol. Everyone else said it doesn’t look big but I could tell the difference. I have a Jeep Renegade trailhawk. I like the smaller SUVs. He also got the other Toyota hybrid SUV which I forgot the name of but it’s between the size of the rav4 and this one. That one still looked big to me. This one looks just right. But I sat in a Corolla car and it was too tight for me!!! I hope this SUV version isn’t that way lol. I really don’t like the The new Prius at all. The previous version was better if you ask me. The new one is way too low looks like you can hit your head as your getting into it. Looks like cargo room got smaller as well. I’m gonna check out this Corolla SUV one day. I loved the Chevy bolt but I don’t know what’s gonna happen with that car in the future if I ever need parts and all that. I heard they are gonna discontinue it again.

I got a Toyota cross hybrid . And had ask hundreds of Toyota owner what the knob or button on the passenger front dash board. It sit just right behind the front wind screen.
