They are both great, I have a 2021 D-MAx which I bought new and I love it. But the HiLux is great too! Ultimatelly for me it comes to better local dealer support and Isuzu gives me great support locally.

In stock standard engine Toyota engine is more powerful than Isuzu but if you do modification the Isuzu D-MAX is more powerful and faster

In standard engine the Toyota Hilux is more stronger torque but if modification the Isuzu D-MAX is the fastest,i like Isuzu D-MAX because fuel economy but not fuel efficiency difference technology, the best is Mitsubishi Triton intelligent engineering number One champion, number two is Ford ranger better engineering, Nissan third,
